Perhaps there was an album on the horizon and things were starting to roll so they were prepping merch?

This Robin Finck t-shirt: is this from 2006?
I remember in 2002 there were a few with his designs, but nothing like this - and since this one has the beard and stuff I assume it's from 2006.

Strange that the 2002 merch was available right at the start of the tour, with Finck, Buckethead and GN'R's designs.
Finck's was all silhouettes. This one is a photo. Perhaps the picture was taken during rehearsals or made available during the tour?
Anyway, that 1997 t-shirt is puzzling me!

I'm pretty sure that fink shirt was available during the 2007 tour here in Australia....I remember seeing it at the merch stand and thinking it was a first step towards promotion of the new line up....because if you remember that vintage there was a lot of talk of "why do the GNR adds show the old guys / why is there no modern band photos / do people who come to the shows expect slash" and so on.....and i remember thinking the the existance of a fink shirt was kinda a baby step towards the band actually becoming known in their own right other than just as Axl and his merry men kinda thing.
