#111 Guns N' Roses » Why do you think more singles haven't come out yet? » 119 weeks ago

With the European tour now over without a single new track being debuted let alone released, what do you think the main cause is for the lack of new singles so far?

It sucks when a forum is plagued by an overly aggressive poster always starting shit and talking down to people for no reason. But unhappy people feel the need to spread their negativity somehow.

Why is this utter twat (Fermanager) panicking every time there's even a hint of something being worked on? Is he afraid he's going to get badgered by the 30-50 of us who still care about new music? He hasn't interacted with GNR fans on Reddit or Mygnr in two years, so why give a shit?

One more thing....

It blows me away he never attempted going solo. The potential to do something was clearly there.

He got way too caught up in the GNR thing post 95, hooked up with a wacky group of people, and the years and his career just started slipping away.

They were only relevant in pop culture for maybe 3 years.  Incredible if you think about it.

Kinda similar with Skid Row.... big from late 89 to mid 91.

I remember one of the guys from Skid Row saying they lost almost all of their female audience when Slave To The Grind came out. Don't remember if he speculated as to why.

First month of touring over, nothing played or released yet. Tick tick tick...

Tommy talks about Brian May & Riad at just after 10:10:

Tommy said the third song Brian worked on was Riad. Presumably the take wasn't used.

Putin is the very definition of a paper tiger. Last year proved his military might was certainly not all it was talked up to be, now with the apparent non reaction of the Russian populace to this coup it seems his public support was all hype as well.

Axl wasn't singing in the Perhaps rehearsal though, it was a backing track, same vocals as the Village leak.

Bucket...Brain...Scaturro....the Giant Robot Production.

When we got the Village leaks, fans finally got a glimpse of the so called shadow lineups concept.

When listening to songs like Sorry, Dub Suplex, Prom Violence, Devious Bastard, and crap like Dummy, Realdoll, and Shackler, you're not listening to GNR....you're listening to songs, jams, and snippets brought to the table by Giant Robot.

You can probably place Zodiac 13 in this category as well. In fact...I'd wager my left nut on it.

Add Moustache to the list of Giant Robot type tracks made during the CD sessions.

After listening to the instrumental demo for Soul Monster from the locker leaks again, I would consider it a Bucket track too.

I said that when the Village leaks happened...it wasn't a popular opinion. It made me wonder if I was wrong.

People like to think of it as either a Finck track or just a straight up GNR song.

The guitar work is too 'clean' to be Finck IMO...too smooth. The song doesn't have that Finckadelic sound. Besides...the rest of the music sounds like Bucket and Co. as well.

That instrumental would fit in with Electric Tears or Population Override.

Is there a later version of it that is GNR? Of course...it became Soul Monster.

We haven't heard it though.

I never understood why so many said Me And My Elvis couldn't be Bucket because of the timeline. Bucket joined around Christmas 1999, when Axl gave him the Leatherface doll. Given how prolific we know Bucket to be, is it really that strange he would have an instrumental completely ready to go by the end of March 2000? Not to mention, like you said, it could be something Bucket brought to GNR already finished.
