So, did you rip the audio from the game? How is the mixing?

Checkmate (or whatever its really called) is out there for a while with some hoarders. I don't think the VMA's rehearsal has more value than the leak.

I strongly feel the first demos (TWAT and IRS) are from early 2002, before Richard came in (I think its Paul Tobias on rhythm). Better must be from that era too....

Oh, I understood. I just don't buy your shit.

Hmm.. I didn't get it. What the Richard's killswitch has to do with Better?
I'm talking more about Bucket licks, tone and style. The killswitch is also a trademark, but not the only thing of his sound that makes it unique.

1. I usually skip Axlite post, but now I don't. so... Do you really think that telling the fans officially through their website that the album is done and handled would upset the label?
Wow, so now everyone who support GNR now or disagree is Axlite? Couldn't expect more from you, tho.
If the band says "well, it's up with the label now, put the blame on them" do you really think it wouldn't upset the label?
2. I don't have problems with her being Brazilian or a housekeeper or uneducated, I have problems with her being arrogant.
Yeah, yet you felt the need to point it out. You clearly have an arrogant way of seeing other people and now you're judging her. Ironic.
I've read a lot of her post @ HTGTH where she attacked fans. That was disgusting. Don't try to defend her, she's acting like another diva, but withoput achieving anything. She'll always be a housekeeper and naming her a personal assistant/tour manager or anything only shows how far Axl has gone from reality.
I can't defend her? You're saying she will never be anymore than a housekeeper, like you really know everything about her and even more than Axl. Tell me about being arrogant. You think you know more than him, you think she attacked fans (who, BTW, you forgot to mention what they did before) and you don't even allow me to deffend her. That's nice, no matter what, you already judge her and me and fuck the rest. Good acting.
3. You know, I don't feel like I should buy his record anymore. And the long wait wasn't enough to make me feel this way but the Axl camp's (Axl, Beta, Jarmo etc.) arrogant and disrespectful behaviour made me feel this way. Downloading is pretty common these days, you know, and people tend to buy the records of artists they really respect - and you must be a mazochist to respect someone who is always disrespectful towards you.
Nobody disrespected me. You look like people who thinks Axl owes them the record. Again, you fail to see how arrogant you are and how you're projecting this on other people.
But if you feel the need to have this personal vendetta and download the album, good for you. But amuses me how you don't like the band and yet go to the boards to talk (negative things) about them. Tell me about being mazochist.
You may know the story about Ozzy's kids that happened long before the reality shows. Fansvisited Ozzy's house at Halloween or I don't know when. They wore strange costumes and acted like Ozzy'd have been a god. The Ozzy kids laughed at them but Ozzy came and told them to shut up and respect those people who made their living. Axl would have got his bodyguards to rid of the so-hated fans.
Yeah, that's EXACTLY what Beta and GNR camp is doing with the fans. If those people went to Ozzy's house just to tell how he sucks to not be with Black Sabbath again, he would respect them a lot.

madagas wrote:Oh yeah, and I liked his comment that said the 2001-2002 version of CD smoked the leaked version's ass!:peace:
Yeah, that was an intriguing comment. Considering that has always been one of my favorite songs(even before the leak), I'd sell my mother to hear it. It probably is more raw and has more balls than the leak. That intro is probably non existent, and likely little to no synth.
Little to no synth? Listen to 2001 live version of the song, there was way more synth than now. Just because it didn't have the intro doesn't mean it was more guitar driven - in fact, it sounded a lot less guitar driven back then. From the Boston Promo 2002, the synth was there in the studio mix too.
or its not BH at all and we're looking at an 04-06 recording
It's Bucket for sure, his sound is unique enough to notice. There's no way in hell it's not Bucket unless it's someone trying to be exactly like him.
I don't think Better was written in several pieces put toghether because that was the only new song besides Silkworms that Axl told about who wrote - in this case, Robin Finck. There are several GNR songs who had several different parts, like Rocket Queen and Locomotive.
Also, I find hard to believe that Bucket's solo was from different sessions. It would need a lot of work to mix it good enough with the actual song, as it would most likely be in another key, tempo and pattern. The great work by Bucket fits nicely in the song and it's felt in every chorus and also in his own solo.
About the article, I think it gives Bucket a whole more important than it would be for real. In all songs we know, Bucket only put solo and some licks here and there, but the structure of the songs were all the same since the early years. IMO, he was more to put some touches, but not to write the main concept of the songs - that seems to be the work of Paul Tobias, Dizzy, Tommy and Robin, of course.

But not updating the fans is his fault. You know, some would expect him at least to tell those who care that after all these years the album is done and handled to the record company.
And upsetting the label who he has already a lot of issues? And having people twisting his words and saying it's another promise for a soon release?
It's annoying to read that Brazilian housekeeper's arrogant comments like 'everybody knows the album is done'. Really?
First, is there any problem with she being Brazilian?
Second, as far as I know, she's not only a housekeeper and you sound as arrogant as she's supposed to be when you address such comments on her.
Third, you don't know how she talked to the journalist nor how HE talked to her. I do know she's not the kind who gives interview, so I find hard to believe that the guy asked her for an interview and she agreed. IMO, sounds like he tried, but didn't make it because she didn't want to. Even so, he used her words from a briefly conversation like it was a real interview. I'm saying this because I'm a journalist myself and I do know how people often use this cheat in order to make a point.
Communicating with the fans would mean he does care a little bit about those whose money made him rich, and those he expects to buy and not download the album if it ever comes out.
Well, your money was to have a cd or a show, and you got it already. What else do you want from him if you didn't pay in advance?

Yeah, I've been reading those kind of things since god knows when.. I started to post on boards back when the official gnronline board was still up.
I don't think I'm stupid nor I don't think he needs or he should do something. Didn't you get already that he's gonna release it whenever it's ready?
BTW, as far as I know, the album is already handed and may not be his fault (at least not entirely) this time.

Doubt Axl is in hurry to release the album just because he looks forward for this HOF thing. And I don't think Slash has anything to do with this (I mean, Axl doesn't seem eager to a reunion at all).
