Damn. It looks like the soundcheck was used to film the daylight clips, and that Axl really did perform some of the song on camera (rather than just use slow-mo footage of other songs, which seems to be the majority).
They actually are trying. I wish they put on this much effort back in 2008. With actual promotion ChiDem might be perceived much differently by the public today.
“The General” really is a welcome surprise, even if it was what so many of us have been clamoring for. Exactly what we need, and the band needs. Soundchecks these next few days could become VERY interesting, especially if they validate some of the improvisations, sound checks, and guesswork we’ve been talking about in years past.
It’s really happening.

Please, God, don’t let them fuck this up …
If there are any hoarders with the demo, please drop me a PM. I’m sure a few folks and I have some extra cash and would be interested in a chat.

So, they just officially took a big, steaming shit on an iHeart radio station. And made Q104.3 look bad in public
If I were the program director I would say “Fuck these assholes” and not play the song at all.

When you run a Google search for the band’s name and the word “Perhaps” the first result you get is a video link.
For the fucking demo that they had taken down!
The second result is for the official video that they had taken down.
I can’t believe it.
Even after all they’ve done to mess up absolutely everything, I can’t believe how they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The initial buzz will disappear by the hour.
Taylor Swift deserves to out-sell these morons. She at least knows how to have a successful career.

I am quickly becoming embarrassed to be a fan of this “band.”
Someone ought to tape USB sticks full of leaks in the restrooms of venues they play on this tour. Apparently NIN did so deliberately some years back to create a buzz around their new album.
Would just take a few to become international news, throw the whole organization into chaos, and make all the fans happy.

Beta is Moe.

Fernando is Curly.
Is anyone a LinkedIn contact for Curly?
Is anyone too ashamed of this showbiz train wreck to even become a LinkedIn contact for Curly?

This is interesting. Two videos for “Quick Song” got taken down:

What a sorry state of affairs we are in when the best signs we have of possible future releases are demos being deleted from YouTube.

Holy actually fucking shit:
They removed the video from the official GNR YouTube channel.

Team Brazil for the win!

Audacy is advertising it on its GNR channel. I’ve had it playing for the past two hours and so far, very little Guns and no “Perhaps” at all! Mostly 1980s metal that has not aged well.
They did play “YCBM” which reminded me of the brutal impact of its debut on MTV. Exactly the right statement to show the band was back, and would be for a while.
From what so many of you are saying, this official release of “Perhaps” ain’t that.
They need to crank out a few new tracks in short order. Take as many opportunities as they can to connect with today’s audiences.
