Lahaina was so cool. I can’t ever imagine going back.
I don’t even know if the church we went to is still there. The Baldwin House is absolutely gone.

The news out of Maui is a fucking tragedy.
So many awesome historic places just gone. The city-block-long Banyan tree might not survive.
Mick Fleetwood’s restaurant, which was a cool Fleetwood Mac museum with vintage photos and instruments, is ash.
Fucking hell.

Days/hours/minutes/seconds?
Definitely.

What does that mean?
Where did you see that? What was the context?

A song I wish we had a proper mix of is the “going down” with axl on backing vocals
I love that song … the leak I heard the vocals
So low it was weird to listen to… but great all the same
Did you hear the one with Axl on harmony vocals? It guts me to think that will never be officially released. An absolute GNR classic, gritty and raw like “Double Talkin’ Jive.”

Can anyone explains to me what's going on?
“Perhaps,” a song originally recorded around 1999-2000 that was among the 2019 storage locker leaks, is being officially released on August 11.
Expect Axl’s same vocal with new contributions from Slash and Duff.

Did anyone do the “pre-save” of “Perhaps” during the day or so it was available?
If so, what did it do (something in iTunes?) and has it since disappeared like the link did?

The entire “Married to the Mob” soundtrack is amazing. Everybody offered up top material. I liked the soundtrack better than I liked the movie.
“Goodbye Horses” ranked among the best then “Silence …” came along and frigging turned it into something weird and vile that made it hard to listen to.
Wild that this thread came up. I was thinking about Madonna last night and how she’s become unrecognizable compared to the absolute star she had been.

There was a time where it was Guns And Roses. Perhaps it's unsold crap left over from 1985.Why do people buy that kind of crap
I can easily excuse it....in 1985
They're not iconic yet so mistakes like that might have happened on a regular basis on flyers, billboards, etc.
Any mistakes like that post- summer 88 is either due to bootleg merch or incompetence.
The fact it is officially sanctioned by management is mind boggling...or would be mind boggling if it were a different band/management.
Exactly. It is the same thing as when the brand new Led Zep were advertised as … something else. Not an official product the band or management had its hand in.

The thing is, they need a variety of songs to assert they aren’t creatively empty (even if they actually are — we fear the worst but still want to believe in these guys).
They also need a few opportunities to see what connects with a modern audience. One mid-tempo rocker isn’t going to do that.
“Absurd” was crap compared to “Silkworms” and can probably be retired when some new tracks are released.
Release at least four songs so they can honestly call it an EP. I would prioritize anything we have NOT heard but would be satisfied with:
“Atlas”
“Perhaps”
“Oklahoma”
“The General”
