Queen of the Underwold-Jesse Malin....Downliner/Will turned me on to it. He is good friends with Tommy as well.

The fact they are even fucking THERE is enough to piss me the fuck off.
GOD is taking care of them. Seattle is reborn, and Axl's fucking tripping over his embarassing Rockalohoma bullshit.
Glad you chose Team Brazil over Slash. Guess who's kicking ass right now, and you're not?
2012: The Revenge of Kurt Cobain
I am quite sure Axl has made a TON of money over the last few years...a bunch more than Slash...guaranteed. I am not saying I agree with what he is doing....just saying he is making some nice coin. The Gnr cabaret will always be profitable.

I am not a fan of Richard's slide solo on Rocket Queen. But, overall, I think he is a very solid lead player with great feel. All my buds who went to the Atlanta shows thought he was the best of the "bunch".
and ps, not comparing him to Slash and Izzy...just the current Gnr guitar throng.
pss Fuck all this, I want Slash and Izzy back. I would even sacrifice my boy Tommy if needed. Yep, desperate times call for desperate measures.

a song which contradicts axlins idea of going back to 1989 (tho i know lies was a yr earlier).
y'don't make business decisions on the basis of music. if the music's good enough people will get it, rather than trying to get people by making music they want.if you're treating it as a business you don't record & release OIAM.
that IS GnR. doing what you want in spite of the better judgement of others' wishes & fuck the consequences.
that's what he needs to get back to. instead of playing the suit & this bizness shit which so fascinates axlin & others. that shit is meaningless, OIAM is forever.Axl doesn't have that band with him anymore. He was too pussy to keep them around.
So I still don't think you're point applies still. The cast of characters he has right now is BUILT for commercialism. Sorry, but it is what it is. I don't really like it all that much either, but i'd rather have SOME kind of GN'R, than none. I personally would prefer a GN'R with Axl Rose, Buckethead (no Robin or anyone else), Izzy Stradlin, Tommy Stinson, Frank Ferrer & Dizzy Reed releasing an album every two years, that's Praxis meets Nirvana meets Guns meets Stones meets Replacements. That's what music would be to me. But i'm not getting that.
Actually, you are not getting anything!

Lost Cause-Beck
These Days (well the slow acoustic parts explaining your own mortality i tend to start feeling something), Word Forward, and Friend of a Friend - Foo Fighters
I find to be upsetting at times. They have a ton of emotion in Dave's lyrics.
Lost Cause by Beck is awesome....great call
