I always figured the first verse was about his detractors in the media and Guns fanbase, while the 2nd verse was directed squarely at Slash. I think the lines at the very end of the song under the drum rolls are aimed at all of them together.
The chorus is to his long term supporters caught in the crossfire of the battle of words.

Whoever wrote this doesn't have the subtle lyrical abilities of Axl, that's for sure.
"I'd like to crush your head tight in my vice"

George Chin is out on tour with them though and apparantly filming. I know he is more known more photography, but I read someones blog or something and they definently said "filming."

Bummer. It will be a gleeful black mark against gnr in the medias mind.

I thought Bill Murray referred to the video game, as basically "the only Ghostbusters III you'll see".
Yep thats what I heard, but I'm not so sure now...rumours are out. Ghostbusters are no more irellevant than Indy was, and he came back with a crap film and made absolute fortune.

Much of it hurts my head, sorry. Too much "action" and noise, the original is much more subtle and still manages to hit harder.
Any Bill Paxton line I can think of is a cornfest, he's a pain.
Its good though, no doubt, I like it a lot. To me the original is art, the sequal is a big action yahoo popcorn sibling. Its still a great movie, "action" has rarely matched this benchmark, nowadays its painting by numbers in comparison
