Interesting case. I read about him in a book many years ago. The story didn't ring a bell until they found out he was a child killer before. I remember how there was a huge uproar that a child killer was let out of prison and given a second chance, then winds up being a serial killer.

I wish I had seen them in Fresno last month. I told myself a couple years ago I would go see them if they came to my area since I missed them on the CB tour.
I was too concerned with having enough money for my trip to Frisco last month to see M.I.A. and her two upcoming shows next month to even consider budgeting for VR.
If they come back here again, I'm gonna force myself to buy tickets the moment they go on sale.

Axl has made tons of money from albums and huge tours over the past 20 years. He cant be broke. Lohan made little money on the films that got her famous, and made a few mil on the films afterwards. Now she's basically broke and has nothing to fall back on but a prayer to be liked by the public again. Its not going to happen because she ruined her image. Like Hilton, Lohan only gets attention from the media and people who don't like her. That doesn't translate into a fat bank account. If Hilton wasn't born rich, she would be living in a cardboard box right now.
Her future is in C movies.

Yeah, the industry is about to change. Artists are figuring out that selling cds is not how you make money anymore. Its touring and merchandise.
Getting Madonna for 12 million a year is practically a bargain.

Yeah, album sales have tanked. M.I.A. made it in the top 20, and Kala only sold 18,000 copies its first week. Years ago, it probably wouldn't have cracked the top 100 with those numbers. The new Cult cd sold like 10,000 copies its first week.
The industry is in critical condition, and the doctor is too busy downloading free music at Limewire to save its patient.
When did this huge free downloading craze start anyways? Its seemed out of control since maybe 05 or early 06. I know its been around longer, but it only became the norm recently.
You couldn't make someone buy a cd if you put a gun to their head.

I thought 4th quarter lists usually come out in August/September and 1st quarter lists for next year would come out in November. That would make the most sense. Doesn't make sense to release a 4th quarter list when the quarter's half-over.
The Universal list last year was from either October or November into early 07. Thats how we all knew to put our late spring early summer hats on. So if it doesn't show up on the list this time, the april-june rumors will start again.

Well, if the thing at the Queen forum is true, Axl will be on a Queen tribute disc. That is doubtful because there is zero new info concerning that, and its a month away.
Yeah, all we are getting in the foreseeable future is the Baz songs. Better than nothing thats for sure. Hopefully that Aerosmith cover kicks ass.
About the silent period, I predicted it would happen before the Asian tour kicked off. There was just a different "feel" to the touring that happened this year. Fanbase showed minor interest, and the media gave it no attention. We just have to hope for 08.

The thing is, she could have entirely avoided it. She just got too caught up in the whole trash culture and it took over her life. She thought because bloggers were talking about her daily and paparazzi were following her meant she was going to be a star forever. She forgot that not only do you need talent, you need a public that doesn't despise you to the point where they will avoid all films that you do.
I understand now why Natalie Portman tries to be more private. Sure, she fucks male models and a few celebs, and probably even does a litle dope. Big difference is she doesn't go to clubs and gossip tabloids showing off. So she gets to have fun while also having a large fanbase that respects her and she has her choice of any role she wants.
Why throw your career away so you can give some dude a blowjob in the bathroom and make sure the news gets to the tabloids so bloggers can bitch about it? Then repeat the same thing. I remember the last big story before Lohan went to rehab(again) was she was in some bathroom at a club snorting coke with a bunch of women. She started bragging how she was about to fly to NY to fuck some dude. Does that REALLY need to be in the news?
Yeah, if you have no talent and are relying on tabloids to prop your dying career up.
These young stars need to learn that getting your name in the tabloids does not mean you are going to be rich and stay that way. Its actually a sign of a dying career.
