I think I really like this. Although the word macdaddy is cringeworthy, it's a catchy song.

When listening to the title track I keep expecting bucket to come in right after Finck but it doesn't. Yes to our ears after hearing these songs for 20 years different forms they sound incomplete to an extent. On the other hand, listen as if you were hearing it in 2000. The title track is locked and loaded and ready to roll.
IRS stomps ass with Bucket but the song is good as is and had it been released then, the bucket version never exists.
The whole thing is ready. Just because a layer of Bucket on various tracks improves them doesn't change this fact.
Stinson was right. Listen to the recent leaks and then listen to the 2007-08 leaks and the album. The songs were turned into something they weren't. Hell, entire songs are buried under songs. A lot was lost in translation from point A to point Z.
IMO these songs vindicate Finck and Tobias. It is not a bad combo and barely got any attention.
One more thing... Tommy's bass tone on the title track is sweet.
I'd also like to hear that lineup's version of TIL. A stripped down version of that song would be great.
This. I love bucket and his contributions to the album, but these songs were great and ready as they stood. It's a tragedy that this wasn't released in 2000. Hearing some of these "stripped" down versions really makes me think this band could have had an Audioslave like run.

Was there a problem with Discord?
I can not come in. Send me the link again, please.
They keep disappearing, most likely due to some bad apples reporting servers to discord. You know, the mature, responsible etiquette that is usually present in online gnr communities.

The last song with vocals is Eye On You and Tommy Song #1
Quick Song is just axl singing the melody, and nothing is axl repeating the same line over and over.
So...
I really hope that Eye On You leaks someday soon.
I have no horse in this race, but i would bet that if more than a couple of people have eye on you, then chances are we will hear it relatively soon.

misterID wrote:MSL asked me for a link, so if he had the songs why would he want a link? And wasn't Walker threatening people and using MSL's name over something a while back, also?
Yeah, MSL is most certainly trying to smokescreen to make it act like he has nothing. If Walker has it, MSL has it.
Yeah, it's unfortunate that these demos end up among the worst people. MSL definitely has an agenda (and some goodies we don't) but I wouldn't lump him in to the "worst people" category. I've enjoyed discussing GN'R with him and really dig his wrestling podcast.

I’m assuming Rick is the one who “leaked” that conversation. Why?
Walker leaked it, but who could possibly keep up with this embarrassing saga of online peen measuring?

Looks like the leak has been plugged.
until the weekend.... It seems like friday and sunday are leaky days. I should know, I get absolutely nothing done at work those days because I'm balls deep watching for a wet transfer link.

Just something about Perhaps that gets me.
Same. I cant figure out if it's that catchy piano riff or axl's haunting vocals.
#199 Re: Guns N' Roses » Best song so far? » 347 weeks ago
I voted Perhaps. Although Atlas and Hardschool have seen several spins from me as well. SOG was a grower. I'd be super interested in hearing a more evolved, fleshed out version.

I'd love to hear the synth heavy jungle
