The definitive studio version of the song, imo.
The instrumental is quite nice too. Not as nice as the Chinese Democracy instrumental but nice nonetheless.

It's like they should go their separate ways or something...
Slash sounded great on Slither, Estranged solo, Rocket Queen.
The sets should be shorter, the jams should be longer, the Axl should be thinner, and the songs should be newer.
Help an Axl out, mix up the vibe of the shows, everyone wins.

Marc Canter said CD always started with the title track, ended with Prostitute, and Axl knew what he wanted on it but he was flexible on some songs, i.e. the B-Sides. You can dig up his posts on MyGNR if you want the citation.
They're unconfirmed fan quotes but according to fans Axl said in 2001 that CD was going to be more heavy and Catcher was going to be on Album #3, It's possibly bullshit or things changed but I take quotes proximal to the release window more seriously than when he wasn't inspired to get the album released.
If you take into consideration his quotes about the label "throw it at the wall, see what sticks" you have rough but not unreasonable case for leaks influencing the final album.
