The Download Festival will be the only UK date on the circuit being booked right now. No stadium dates

That's shit if true.

I remember GNR playing a load of arena dates a month after Download in 06. Whether that has any relevance to a potential Wembley date who knows.

Maybe the recent AC/DC tour stopping at Olympic Park and City of Manchester is a better indicator?

Pretty awesome Olympics for GB so far. To be ahead of China (just) at past the half way stage is incredible.

I'm not buying that. I mean he could be on meds but it's not coming across that way to me. Consider Axl of 06, biting guards and fighting fashion designers, or perhaps 09-14 punching paps, fluctuating weight, phoned in performances, festival cancellations via twitter. Then compare that with Axl of 16 fronting a reunited GNR to stadiums, fronting AC/DC and sounding his best for at least a decade.

It's not the latter that's needing meds if you ask me and if you say the Axl of 16 is the result of meds then they're clearly fucking miracle pills and he should have been on them years ago.

Jungle from Live Era is the greatest thing ever.

Album version though I go with Rocket Queen (LE version is also great). Has everything you look for in a GN'R song. Heavy, badass, melodic and maybe a little psychedelic.

Always found Jungle on Live Era a bit flat and hollow myself. For me the consistently best versions of Jungle were in 06, it blew the roof off every night. Although I still think THE single best version of Jungle is 88 VMA's.

Pitman sabotaging shit. I knew he'd be back for revenge.

Something to her right in the audience just off camera catches her eye which appears to startle her. Within a second the ss guys are on it and dealing with the situation. If she was simply 'having a moment' they wouldn't be on it so quick, they're reacting to something that they can all see, including the rest of the audience. They all look to their left to watch whatever is going on before focusing back on Hilary.

My thoughts on Suicide Squad are:

Hidden Text:

1. Actors were generally good in their roles. I didn't really get into Leto's joker yet. Mind you its basically an impossible job to follow ledger's performance I think. But it seemed to me that the set up was very scarface and he was sort of trying too hard to be charismatic. I might warm up to it yet. Could be like one of those songs you dislike then it gets stuck in your head. It sort of had cool aspects it just also felt a bit obvious or something to me. I dunno. I liked Deadshot and Harley.

2. Too many members in the squad, or not enough plot for some members. There's some of the team who seem to literally just follow around everyone. Like Killer Croc for example doesn't seem to have much of a role.

3. Overall fun characters, mostly rendered well except possibly for Joker,  but not really a very good plot.

Enjoyable overall but I like B v S a lot better personally, although I know most people hate it.

Agree on Leto. Despite the Joker only really being portrayed twice before in movies it felt cliched and generic. In fairness the bar is set pretty high on that role now but he did nothing that 1000 other actors couldn't have done imo.

Good album for it`s time but overrated as shit Nighrain, Brownstone, SCOM and RQ are songs I would call " great", Jungle, Easy and PC are catchy, the rest ranges from mediocre to completely forgettable.

10 You've listed 4 songs you deem 'great' and 3 songs that you feel are 'catchy', that's 7 on a twelve song album. I think you definitely highlighted the best of them, but for the life of me can't fathom how that would in any way constitute an overrated album. 7 out of 12 is an incredible ratio, especially if you consider that there's maybe only one song on there that's truly less-than-mediocre (you're crazy), IMHO.

Anyway... I voted RQ (seem tejas' explanation for the why...). But Nightrain, Jungle, Brownstone, PC and of course SCOM were all contenders for me.

AFD is overrated because big chunk of fanbase thinks it`s the greatest debut Rock album ever recorded. It is n`t, not even close.

Which bands fans don't 'overrate' their favourite bands albums?

I'm curious which debut rock albums are unquestionably and clearly superior btw? Bearing in mind you said AFD isn't even close.

PC or Nightrain for me. I think PC just edges it, when that whistle blows and that riff kicks in there's nothing like it.

Saw this today.

I sort of liked it for what it was but if anybody is going expecting brilliance don't.

Oh and Ledger smokes Leto btw.

#350 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl and Buckethead/Robin? » 510 weeks ago

What a strange world we live in where we are talking about Axl/Robin reunions whilst he's on stage with Slash.

To answer the question, no. Mainly because you could count the number of people who'd want to see that on one hand. 99.9% of the GNR fan base has the lineup they've been craving for 20 years, a reunion with BH or Robin would only he of interest to the masochistic few who wanted to re-live the nostalgia of the CD era.
