I think alot of that shit has died down, if not been dead since 1993. Hell, even Kurt Cobain was hanging with Duff shortly before his death.
duff simply happened to be on the same plane a couple of days before kurt died.
kurt quit his rehab in LA (by escaping over the back wall, when he'd have been allowed to sign himself out & leave thru the frontdoor) & was seated next 2 duff on his flight to seattle.

there was talk of slane.. but i'm sure there'll be an irish date. hopefully indoors. thou there was a good attendance @ the RDS in '06.

in axl's defence he was on time for the leeds '02 show & he was on time for the '06 shows.
curfew fines are SO high in the UK (& ireland) that i think it actually makes him do something on other peoples timescale..

So GNR will play Reading on Friday and Leeds on Sunday, but how does that mean no arena tour?
they musta signed an exclusive clause, it's pretty normal for reading & major festival headliners.
i can't link but it's in the press release about it being GnR's only UK shows. try google news.
EDIT - The PA has it that the will be their "only UK FESTIVAL appearances"
the site i first read (getbracknell) omitted the word 'festival' which led me to ASSume there'd be no further UK shows. now i think there will be..

the festival is their ONLY uk shows this year. there will be no UK Arena tour this year!

The Crimson Idol is a great record - the solo on the idol is immortal. animal is a top tune too.
