It's fascinating. The first things that jump out at me there.
1 - I hadn't even noticed Kat was no longer with the band. I remember looking at her social media for years to get pictures, videos and the like of the band. She always seemed to get on very, very well with everyone, particularly the WAGs. She was featured very often in the band members and their partners social media postings (Is she not on the Perhaps video?) But it's been quiet on that score on both sides.
2 - The band is comprised of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagen. Is that official? So Richard, Frank and Melissa aren't actually in the band, they're just hired as touring muscians on an ad-hoc basis?
3 - Which side are the band members on? As I put earlier, they all seemed to get on with Kat. If they back her, could this be the end of the band entirely? Or certainly this lineup?
4 - Could this be the end of Team Brazil's involvement with the band? If the band members are on Kat's side, it leaves Team Brazil in an untennable position, irrespective of the outcome of the legal case. If found to be true, I can't see how Fernando could possibly continue and that would leave TB's position in general in massive doubt. Would the end of TB be a good thing for the band, could it result in them being more normal and communicating effectively and releasing music? Or is that just impossible with A. Rose?

Eh? What I have missed? Brain is still involved? What's he doing, given the band isn't doing anything other than touring?

I always wondered what happens when Axl croaks it. There will be tons of stuff people would like to hear. Does it all just flood out as the barriers are down or would he have it thown in the casket with him? If he were to pass, I'd like him to spread it around the globe and the internet and have some kind of Ready Player One style competition to find it all. That way he can keep the mysteriously difficult process of getting hold of his music going for thirty more years.

Not a fan of Monsters. It's so cheesy, like a pop song. The Backstreet Boys would cover it next Halloween.
The General is a great song, so much depth and emotion.

It makes way more sense for it to be just the General. Because most times those types of records the songs will be between a max of 4 mins 30 seconds to about 6 minutes.
The songs combined are about 9 minutes. Would it even fit? If they squeezed it on there the quality would drop big time. Plus with Perhaps being just 4:48 and the general being 4:23 its a perfect match.
I didn't know that, I've never had a vinyl player so know nothing about them at all.
But why were the rights listings combined? That's unusual isn't it? And why did Fernando link them as well?

How? Everything points to it being on there, even if it's a hidden track, or just part of 'The General' with an interlude inbetween. The evidence is the rights listing of 'The General and Monsters' and Fernando's comment on Reddit that 'The General is a monster'. They're clearly very linked in some way.
I guess if it turns out not to be on the vinyl it'll suggest the band leaked it intentionally, wouldn't it?

This is where I'm at currently. When I downloaded them I listened to the start of Monsters on an Alexa device and I was very much 'wtf is this?'. Mild panic ensued that both were awful, but listened on headphones and liked them more and more with every listen.
These are not radio tracks, that's for certain. They're not going to catapult the band back to mega hype, but I love them. Dark and moody and full of emotion and aggression. Far better than most of the stuff on CD.

Where have you heard this? There was a youtube clip that sounded better than the links I downloaded from here, but not sure if it was just a better quality rather than a better mix. But it got taken down.

As is Twitter. People are raging and they're tagging everyone in, band members, management, band members' wives etc. They're all getting shot down.
And still they don't acknowledge it. Situations like this where a bit of honesty could come into play would and work wonders and they just sit there and ignore it completely. Which makes me think it's just Axl and his weirdness having a moment and pulling the release because he's not ready for it. Just make a statement and fess up on why it's going to be another 6/7 weeks before it's out. Or be brave enough to admit you've pulled it and state why. The smoke and mirrors and mystery might have been cool and good marketing at some points in the bands' history, but not now when they're all retirement age and annoying people for the fun of it isn't really what they should be doing.
