In hindsight it is shocking that this was not released as the final single from the album. I suppose it really didn't need it as the record flew off shelves but they could have squeezed a few more sales as the era was wrapping up and the wait for UYI kicked off.

In an alternate timeline where Lies doesn't happen, it probably becomes a single/video.

Omg….too funny. I am not a fan. It shouldn’t have been on the album! Again, the album only needed one power ballad and no Hollywood Rose songs.

SCOM is their crowning achievement…perfect in all ways…5 dudes nailing their assignments…same with WTTJ but I like sappy love songs!

Faves…Civil War Estranged Coma Locomotive Sweet Child and …My Michelle! Your daddy works in porno now that mommy’s not around…too fucking good!

All I know is that the Hammerstein shows rocked…

I’m with Dave, not sure what I want to hear at this point. Both tracks are leftovers. Record your own stuff or just let us hear the real deal from the other band

Honestly, do you really care who wrote it at this point? The only real proof you have is that it came out of the Chinese Democracy sessions….end of discussion…anything else is our societies newfound concern with “conspiracy” theories and believing idiotic random message board trolls or any former band members who may not remember what was originally played or thought about.

Silliness over 2 songs that weren’t good enough for Chinese after 10 years of work on the album!

Ditto…from Rio 2001 to 2002, we had songs and strong talk from Axl and Team Brazil about an album.

2002 to 2006 was just painful…

#449 Re: Guns N' Roses » Will the next single be something we've heard already? » 196 weeks ago

If this, then that…again, everyone was at fault from the label to management to the engineers/producers, and ultimately Axl.

The only people not at fault were all the new Gnr musicians who gave everything they had to make a GNR worthy album. Those guys and the fans got fucked. With the Best Buy deal CEO Rose parachuted out of the mess….the other guys were not so fortunate.

Good news is that football in the US is starting soon and I don’t have to worry about what outtake or b-side the new old newer older version of Gnr will release next! You know it will be another underwhelming effort.
