Three things I can asure you that I expect/care about.

First, Axl will have little to no contact with anyone from the media.

Second, I couldn't care less about what shows Jarmo is going to...he is a symbol of exactly what has been wrong with this band and their conduct since day one of the nu adventure.

Third, I hope/want/would love some live/recorded coverage of some of these massive asian shows.  Can anyone fill me in on that?

I remember this for the wrong reasons...Sigh......the day Chinese came out here in Oz,  my girlfriend, knowing how i'd waiting for the album for years,  was determined that the best way to experience the album was for me to fuck her while listening to it...so she drove around especially...I had thought about telling her that actually i'd listened to the album in the car on the way back from the store before I called her, and that I had the leaks anyway so most of it wasn't new....but a second listen while fucking didn't seem like such a bad idea wink

So here we are a year on....Chinese Democracy is still one of my favourite albums, I still love listening to it, and that bitch left me a week before christmas.....memories... wink

Wow...that's quite a story...strange that she would go to all the trouble only to leave you a few weeks later...

I hope things have gotten better since...

I'd love to be wrong but I reckon the days pf gnr leaks are long gone.

I mean the stuff we got in '07 thanks to MSL was suggested to have been sourced from Fernando and surely we got what was there to be had.

And the '08 Antiquiet leaks from Cogil - well surely we'd never see this kind of leak again following the FBI stuff.

The only possible way I could ever see a new leak is something finally surfacing from the 'checkmate' affair - but from what I've read the gnr camp quickly shut that one down.

So until Uncle Axl decides to put more new music out there, we wait....

The only ones who are known to have it are the douche forum mods. Good luck.

wait...you think someone actually still has leaks to share? what mods are you talking about?

#4985 Re: Guns N' Roses » If its the same old set list will you go?? » 826 weeks ago

Yes...although I would like to hear more Chin Dem songs, I think Axl or someone important fears there are even less people interested in the new songs than there are people who want to see the AFD tour.

I really believe there are lots of 'fringe' fans who say fuck it...let's relive the old days. Many of these people may not even know Chin Dem exists. It would be easy to understand...the album got released so quietly, and with no singles really taking to the radio.

Although the circumstances were a bit different back in 2006 when I went to see them in Chicago, the older crowd (40 and up) seemed to have no clue about songs like Better...and whatever other songs they played from the new album.

Wasn't sure where to share this so I thought I'd just put in here about ticket sales:

Yesterday my Mom and I took my son on a trip to see my brother. I should also mention that my mother is extremely religious. I posted recently about how she stopped me from buying UYI because of the bad language on them, etc. It was a long drive so many subjects came up.

One of which was my plan to go see Guns N' Roses in January. I shit you not, I just got a voicemail this morning warning me to reconsider. She told me that Axl Rose stands for everything that God is against.

Just wanted to share, lol

Lol...Axl IS anti-christ...I'm actually more inclined to believe that than most of the BS in this thread.

Or maybe Axl is nu-God...or God is a soon to be member of nu-Gn'R

This thread makes absolutely no sense...am I seriously that out of the loop? Or are there so many inside jokes going on in this thread that I'm supposed to not see any relevance whatsover.

It just looks like a bunch of forum users turning on each other.

I know I'm gonna get flamed for this.  But if Axl really wanted to go on tour he should've done so as an opening band for a major touring act.

U2 is doing 12 stadium dates in North America between June 6th and July 19th.  Axl, Azoff and Co. should've begged and pleaded and done everything in their power to get on as the open act for those 12 dates.  Gn'R would play to more people than they could ever dream of playing to on this arena tour in Canada they have scheduled.  Gn'R would be the opening band but they are still a big enough name in North America that had people known they were opening you'd have those stadiums 80 -90% full for the opening band. Pretty sweet scenario for Gn'R. Plus Axl checking the ego at the door and being an opening act would change alot of people's perception of him assuming he could behave and do the 12 dates and not throw tantrums or pull no shows.   This would be the ultimate scenario for this band right now as far as how they're perceived  in North America. Plus it would expose new Gn'R to a shit load of people who other wise have written them off because of no Slash.  Also Axl has sad in the past he was a big U2 fan.  Oh and the lasting impact it might have on Gn'R as a far as their business sense goes could be immeasurable. They could learn alot from U2 on those 12 dates. Sad part is I highly doubt U2 would ever go for it.  They don't need Gn'R and they definately don't need the drama that could possibly come with Axl.

You know what? I've had enough of this U2 horn blowing...I went in Chicago...their first date in the US...i wasn't that impressed.

It was expensive as hell...the stage was ridiculously big (btw it ruined soldier field's turf for football)...i felt like it was a lotta hype and mania for a giant stage, and a tour from a band that rarely come here.
