#661 Re: Guns N' Roses » All Original GUNS Members Will Be At ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME » 738 weeks ago

This really is a question of  "Will Axl be there for Us". We're the fans after all. If he's not there, then I don't consider myself a fan anymore. More a young man with an unhealthy obsession, that's one step away from fan and towards Epic GNR troll.

They really should play and they should do it for me and you and al the other fans and grow the fuck up

Firstly, I love the AFD drumming and have nothing against Adler whatsoever.

But this question, D, "give me one damn good reason why Adler is treated like some Cerebral Palsy fuck wipe who can barely wipe his ass" is just begging for a smart-ass answer like: Well, because that's how he acts because he fucked up his brain with all the drugs he took.

That's my reaction as well.
In my own mind. I don't equate Steven Adler 2011 with Steven Adler '87.

Two completely different people.

The bright eyed young kid with the funky drum chops or the haggard old drug leech who can't climb out from his past.

Sounds harsh but that's the way he's portrayed/portrayed himself.

That said. of late Adler 2012 seems to be less erratic and less of a whinge bag. Which can only be a good thing.

I don't ususally trust a single word that comes out of the mans mouth BUT, Axl put a lot of Adlers problems in terms of him being a viable buisness entity relatable to the GNR brand down to his mom Deanna, and I just found this shit online:

If Adler wants back in GNR he needs to publicly punch his mother in the mouth. Judging buy this:

That would be harder on his fist than her mouth, but if the original line-up is going to reform, this needs to be in the contract.

Alternatively he could write a second memoir entitled " She's just a Cunt now: How I lost my Mother to Money-Grubbing Whoredom"

And Larry Spags can fuck all the way off too.

Coming off a tad bitchy there Rhiad. You can do better.

O_O. Oh no. Creepy, Alpha male manipulation stuff.

I'll just. Go over here instead.

And say this:

GnR would today be on par with Metallica if they'd carried on.

No fucking shit. That's what I was saying. It's pot meeting kettel for those who continuely whine about the people who are "negative" and  vice versa.

Agreed.

Onwards.

Pot/Kettle and what not

The new band was given many chances by the diehards, but the level of output and the less than professional way that that output has been delivered really shows that Axl had no huge artistic vision, he just wanted to own GNR, plain and simple. There is nothing on CD that was beyond the old band to play. The end of GNR I was about power, control and money not art.

GNR III will soon be wilting just like GNR II because the boss ain't interested in letting his highly trained and eager musicians do their thing. Believe me, playing somebody else songs for a living is the bottom rung for any pro-musician.

When it comes to GNR Axl values seem to be stacked as follows:
1. Power & Control
2. Money
3. Art

With Power & Control and Number 1, the reunion can't go ahead no matter what money is on the table and a new album is not coming soon because there is currently more money to be made and less hassle to endure touring the current back catalogue.

Good thing I got you around to supply me with an opinion.

I hope it's not the actual video. I like those vids that show the band playing, but it looks like a very low-budget shit that a no-album garage band would release.

Exactly. It's perfect.

Video Description

| Girl was at a club, saw Paris Hilton with her boyfriend in the corner, the suddenly met Axl, which was unbelievable for her 'cos she's a singer too. Axl's friend came & asked her if she wanted a drink and she agreed. Girl was superexcited. In LA all clubs are closed at 2 a.m. and that turned out to be a great idea, 'cos many party goers end up at sb's home to party some more. She was at the right moment, at the right time and got invited to Axl's home for an afterparty by his friend. She didn't know what to expect as they were driving to Axl's house, then the big gate opened and she was in. Axl has a lot of guitars there and other original brands stuff. Axl is a guy who has lots of stories to tell, he told her stories of many pieces of art he has there. (A story about Robert Williams' painting), every piece of art has its own story. There were 2 pictures that she found a bit irritating - tools that real cannibals use. Axl has lived through so much extreme stuff, that for him is now normal. Axl has a room at the back with a r'n'r bar, where everyone can order a drink. She expected Axl to be some kind of a wasted rockstar, but he looks very good for his age, drinks energy drinks, has his own world, but he is very well spoken when you talk to him. He doesn't have any rockstar attitude, he answered all her questions and told many stories. Axl is very down-to-earth and can just chat with anyone.
