Thanatopsis - Axiology is probably my favorite album of all time.

I still haven't heard that. That's a pretty bold statement, so I'll put that at the top of my list of albums to get.

Yeah, I dig the live Soothsayer as well. Back then it was floating around with the title 'Mellow Wedge'.

Been listening to Population Override quite a bit lately.

This is the track that single handedly made me start worshipping buckethead as god.  It's a live version of Soothsayer which in my opinion is much better than the studio version:  http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5V67VSHH  If anyone knows where I can get that in FLAC please let me know.

try archive.org. Tons of great live Bucket.

Yes, Axiology is great. I like Anatomize better.

Has anyone else picked up on the similarities from Phantom Lights on Bermuda Triangle with the solo from There Was A Time?  Not identical, but the same sort of structure and some of the same licks!

Colma, Bermuda Triangle, Island of Lost Minds, Electric Tears all were in that general time frame, maybe also Somewhere Over the Slaughterhouse. Several comments have been made linking Bermuda to at least a couple different CD songs. I haven't heard the 3 unheard songs yet. Nottingham Lace was made around then and can be downloaded from his site.

Population Override was released not long after his official departure from the band.

Oh ok. Cool. I always figured Bermuda, Island, and Population were. Their sound really reflects they way he sounded in GN'R at the time. And Nottingham prolly could have made a great GN'R song with a little editing

I haven't even heard that album. Funny how the mentioned similarities to Bucket's work and some of these recent leaks just happens to be from albums I don't have.

I believe Dan Monti and Bucket wrote Nottingham Lace during their time together in the GNR studio. Axl probably rejected it.
