I know this sounds like the GNR name argument, but its a bit different in this case.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well here's how I would say they are different
Axl Rose formed Guns n Roses with Traci Guns,Izzy Stradlin,Ole Beach & Rob Gardner
in 1985 When they combined Hollywood Rose & LA Guns to form Guns n Roses
& of course Axl came up with the name. There where banners made that said
Hollywood Rose meets LA Guns to form Guns n Roses. All though  Traci still had LA Guns
Hollywood Rose  was over as Chris Webber left LA for NY.

In fact something to point out there was a band that use to open up for Guns
Called Road Crew which some of you might know is where Slash,Steven & Duff came from.

Skid Row is different because although they made it big with the help
of Jon Bon Jovi had to buy there name from Gary More who owned it
& had 3 or 4 records out in the 60's under the name. As a band

All 5 members Sebastian,Rachel,Snake,Rob & Scotti all
paid an equal amount of money to buy the name unknown
to the rest of the band Rachel & Dave had it copy written to them
which is why the VHS tapes have not gone to DVD & there have not
be Re releases for Slave to the grind & Subhuman Race.....

To date Sebastian has only played live with one former member of Skid Row
& that was Rob Affuso who was also fired from Skid Row.....

Baz?? Is that you?? LOL.....DAMN! You know your Skids/Baz shit!

I gotta say I'm glad to hear that Baz has played with Rob.... I always loved his drumming in Skids and I had no idea Baz had played with him since leaving Skids. I cannot stand Phil Varone (sp?), the current drummer for Skids. He's not as bad of a replacement for Rob as that jackass is for Baz, but he's just not Rob and doesn't play with as much feeling.

Haa no Im not Baz. And Phil Varone has not played for Skid Row since
2004 He is now a stand up comedian. The Drummer is Dave Gara who
also plays in a Punk Band with Rachel Bolan known as the Quazimotors...

Yeah Rob joined Baz on stage for a few shows in 2003
he was all so on Sebastian's Bach 2 basics CD(2001) on the song Shock Me
along with Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister & Eric Brittingham of Cinderella.

Yeah, you definitely know your shit. What health problems does Snake have, or has he not let that be known publicly? What was the main reason for the breakup? If it was the name being pulled out from under them by Snake and Bolan, why didn't the other guys bail as well? I always thought it had something to do with the failure of Subhuman Race. I remember the mags back then, and the way they all talked about it, they clearly had high hopes for the album.

As far as a reunion goes, I don't think one needs to happen. There would be very little interest in one. Baz has his small fanbase, and the Skids have their microscopic fanbase. Putting the two bases together doesn't really help anything, especially for Baz. Also, Baz' resume shows he has other options before ever getting desperate enough to try and do a reunion.  I think its best for people to just remember how good that band was in its prime.

Also, whats your opinion of Baz using the Axl angle to promote his album? I don't blame him for mentioning it and using it a bit in the promo, but I think he went overboard with it.

Snake has Carpel tunnel syndrome in has hands & wrists.

The problems in the band came long before Subhuman Race.
First the media really gave Sebastian most of the attention such as
having him on the cover of Rolling Stones & so on. This made the other
member up set/Jealous.  Rachel really wanted the band to go in a Punk direction
which was always apart of there music even on the first CD songs like Piece of me Sweet little sister
while Sebastian wanted it to be more Metal as was evident in songs he was bring to them such as Slave to the grind & Mudkicker,He also had to fight to have his Ballad Wasted Time on Slave to the grind that Bolan to this day hates & has publicly called the song many of foul names

Then Grunge came & Skid Row got lumped in with a lot
of the bands of that time & basically they where all temporally out of a gig.

There Rachel formed a Punk band called Prunella Scales  & was working with them
& it was causing a lot of tension between him & Baz & of course everyone was effected by it.

Subhuman Race  was Sebastian's  project by this time he was trying to
get the band to be heavier & make a record lost of fight going on Sebastian Hired
Bob Rock & Randy Sabb to produce the record while Snake & Rachel wanted to stay
with Michael Wagner Baz was trying to become a member of Can ~ con    so the band
lived & recorded the CD in Vancouver, lots of fights over the direction & so on

Subhuman Race debut on the Bill Board Chats at # 35  while it
was not successful as the first 2 it was still making money.
Baz did not get Can ~ Con & has had many issues with the love/hate feeling
from his country.

Long story short Kiss was Reuniting & they Asked Skid Row to open up for them
in New Jersey the home base if you will of Skid Row. Everyone was excited except
Rachel Bolan who by now was tiered of living in Sebastian's shadow. He booked Prunella
for a gig the same day & had management tell everyone he would not do the show.

Well This pissed Sebastian off he called Rob up asking what was up he said
it's Rachel he dose not want to do the band anymore. So Baz tried to get in touch with
Rachel & could not he called Snake & was chewing him out & Snake then quit the band.
Baz then called everyone only getting machines & said he was going to KICK THE SHIT out of
Rachel & in turn they fired him.....

Nah I don't think there needs to be a reunion Baz has a rather large loyal
following.    Not just in the Rock seen but also as a Broadway Star & a TV actor.

As for using Axl I would not use those words Baz is a fan of Axl Rose
& has always been open about that. They are friends & having Axl on his record
has brought both positive & negative press to the CD.

Axl dose not do interviews because the press has a tendency
to twist his words & add a lot of BS.  so when Sebastian dose an interview
he is always asked how was the tour how did you get Axl on your record
& what's up with his record?   And Baz again being a fan & a friend tells them
how he feels. Baz has been doing a radio promotional tour in support of Angel Down
& since Axl is on it the questions are asked even more. Baz is kind of in corner he say's
something Positive & the press turns it out to look like he's is Kissing Ass but if he down played it
or worse said something negative he would than be labeled ungrateful or worse names then I care to write. So I think Baz is promoting it the write way

Back in the day when Axl did give interviews he said Sebastian
Bach is one of the greatest singer in Rock he said that the media tried to pit them
against each other but it did not work & they struck a friendship rite off the bat.

A funny piece of history is Baz & Axl first met at an Aerosmith Concert
& now they have made a KICK ASS tribute to them that I hope they do a video for.

The announcer for a public American Radio station opened the Show saying we have Sebastian Bach of the band Skid Row.

Baz stated he was not in Skid Row & the guy kept pushing the buttons why why,he kept saying how special those times where & Baz agreed. Now mind you this a from A radio tour to support his new CD

The DJ  kept asking so what's going on with them have you heard the new music
what do you think of the new music & Baz gave into it & gave him the answer he was looking for. Now this guy takes a clip from that & what we now have here is the domino effect.

Some thing to point out  about the questions being asked here.
It really seems this guy was looking for dirt..
The question of out of place music, when are you gonna
put out the classic VHS tapes on DVD the questions about JBJ
Like Sebastian, Scotti gave into the one button that gets the press what they where looking for.

Does Baz even care about stuff like this or what they say about what he has said in interviews about them?    In your opinion if they were in a room together could Baz defend this statement?

Well I would say he cares when it effects him.
They still use his face in pictures to promote
there shows & there are people who do not know he is not in the band.

Baz is often labeled the Former Singer of Skid Row
And has even received criticism in reviews for shows that have
been done by the modern Skid Row. So I would say that bothers him.

But after everything he has done in 11 years there is no
question he can make it with out them,I think they both get caught up
in the he said no he said blah blah but most of the time it's cause the press
won't let it die. Questions like why are you not in the group did you quit
don't you wanna get back together with those guys but it was so magical
& Im sure that's the stuff that effects him & of course there is resentment
for being fired sure but I would say it's cause the press won' let it go & the fans to
cause many do want them to get back together.

Not me I Love his new band IMO
they are the best he's ever had...

Shows what I know, but I guess the last time I sat through a Skids show would've been around 04. I just remember not liking Phil as much as Rob. I'm sure their latest drummer isn't anywhere near as good either.

I've got Bach 2 Basics, I'll have to give it a listen again. I liked it alot. I would love it if Rob would come on board and tour with Baz or something.

Rob has his own Band called Soulsystems Orchestras
They are are an entertainment party band that dose Funk,Motown
50's & 60's style's of music..... It would be cool to see him in a Rock band
again but from what I know he is having a blast with his group. They are
the only ones not doing Classic skid row tunes all though it would be interesting
to see how they would do it.

WOW, I never new that happened to him.  Getting reviewed and criticized at that on a show for a band he isn't even in, that's crazy.   Using his likeness to promote the new band is definitely a parallel to GNR although I believe it's the promoter of the venues that use Slash's likeness and older pics to promote them, not GNR's doing.

Sebastian has an incredible resume', who would have known that blonde haired bombshell, screaming out Youth Gone Wild would do a broadway show, not to mention a tv series and Vh1 shows and so on, definitely gotta take your hat off to him that he kept on working, kept himself in the spotlight and now has a great band and what I think will be a successful album for them.

I saw Baz at MSG, front row rail, he was great, [he definitely was pissed at something tho] although I feel he should have had the timeslot that Papa Roach had, MSG wasn't even full at the time he started and by the end of his set, it had gotten packed.

Re: SKID ROW Guitarist To SEBASTIAN BACH: 'Blow It Out Your Ass, Buddy!

you know your shit ace, cheers.   and i dont care to see a skid row reunion all that much either.  Baz played a lot of the hits on tour with GnR last year and the songs sound just as good with the band he has now.   Skids need Baz way more than Baz needs those guys.

Yeah The new Skids especially in the beginning
did not say that it was not Sebastian. It seem there whole
attitude was people would find out on there own. I remember
one horrible review that was on line Baz even took to commenting on it
trying to let everyone know it was not him...

I think Angel Down will finally let people know he
is Sebastian Bach & not just the former Lead Singer of Skid Row.

And if you like Angel Down you have to get
the Frame Shift 2  an Absence of empathy CD...
Sebastian sang all 12 songs & it really is a Killer CD to have...

Re: SKID ROW Guitarist To SEBASTIAN BACH: 'Blow It Out Your Ass, Buddy!

I definitely will check those out for sure, thanks Acekicken 22
