It's painfully obvious they don't give a fuck what fans want and scorn anyone who even likes them.

I agree, but there's only one man that this applies to axl

Despite his decades-long attempt at being a martyr, his true colors shine brighter each year.  He is a lazy, washed up, flash in the pan, living off of the creative groundwork that others laid down for him.  Oh, but he has fought so hard to keep it alive, hasn't he?  GNR.  Traveling the world as  the "tortured artist", who's so sensitive that he just can't bring himself to release his masterpieces.  Manipulating the fans and people around him, including his karaoke band, must come easier than actually being creative; certainly beats working!  GN'R, his cross to bear.

But are they? Did Adler come up with the You Could Be Mine Drum intro?

As for songwriting credits the normal practise is to credit the song to whomever wrote the lyrics and the melody of the song. Not "the music" but "the melody". This is inherently harsh on bass players and drum players who are often very creative in jams but are not formally writing "the molody" which is why a lot of bands have a practise of diving publishing among all members anyway to promote harmony. However some bands don't.

The bottom line is writing the words to YCBM or the guitar riff to YCBM will earn you a writing credit but that drum part won't. Yet it's kinda important to the song. So going off who has the writing credits is not the sensible way to test contribution to the band as it's full of legal shonkiness.

Duff or Adler wrote YCBM drums but Matt added the cool intro which was taken from Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin.

Just filling up the deafening silence from the band while we wait.

Matt was part of UYI. Brought in a more metal style. He didn't reproduce the sound of Adler, but overall he was an improvement on Adler.

Don't really care if he's a dick in private.

GNR fans have perfected the art of bitching about anything. 16
