According to film/game music composer Bill Brown, Robin has been recording some guitar parts for a movie!

Recording more guitars for the film today with my new friend Robin Finck from @nineinchnails #NIN #filmmusic #composer #studiolife #moviemusic #billbrownmusic

It looks like those recordings are taking place for a movie Bill's been working on for some time...

I am also posting this interesting tidbit of conversation:

Will check this out.

I'd really like a guitar-driven Robin solo album.

I've always thought Robin should take the lead guitar slot in a 70s-style rock band. Like Zeppelin, or Queen, where there's one guitar player whose distinctive sound defines the band – and no rhythm guitar. Pair him up with a killer vocalist, like Chris Cornell or Chester Bennington. Dave Grohl on drums. Melissa Auf der Maur on bass – always liked the way her clean backing vocals complement a raspy-voiced singer. Get Robin to play in the style of the TIL solo and this sort of thing:

It would be fucking awesome.

What the fuck is he doing here ? soloing ? improvising ? or just making shitty noises ? I`m glad he`s gone.

I enjoyed that soundtrack piece.

I'd love to see Robin in something a little hard rock-esque but I dig the guy's work.

That solo was pretty good in a raw sort of way but I prefer his Paradise City one from Rock Am Ring 2006 and Sossego from 2002. Great stuff.

He would be ideal for W.A.R. but was bad for Guns N`Roses.
I think he`s a gifted and creative guitarist ( even though I think Nine Inch Nails sucks dick and Trent is an overrated, pretentious bitch ) but his style does n`t fit Guns. He`s an industrial player, first and foremost, not a Bluesy Hard Rock soloist, he plays power chords and does guitar soundscapes, he does n`t play solos very often.
I would like to get my hands on so called " CDII" but I still think, as I`ve said before, hiring him as Slash`s replacement was Axl`s biggest mistake when it comes to " NewGNR".
