For the first time in 20 years, I can predict a Bears-Ravens Super Bowl and not get laughed at.
Unfortunately for the Bears, they'll have the same problem as last year. You can't keep putting up 40-50 points a week and keep the machine turning all season long. The defense has to come through consistently. Ben Johnson wants them to be the highest scoring offense ever.
That's aiming a bit high....
Have you seen the Chargers schedule yet? That week 3-10 gauntlet is fucking insane....ALL playoff teams.
People jumped the gun on the Broncos...they looked terrible. I said last year they were a bit reminiscent of the 98 Falcons(so were the Pats). It looks like this year they'll be reminiscent of the 99 Falcons.
Also looks like the Chiefs are back. Damn.
Other than division games, Lions have a pretty soft schedule. I can see why some are predicting they'll win the division...but I think they'll be in the cellar of the division.
I'm predicting the Jets as this year's one year wonder. They may not go to the playoffs...but they'll make some noise like the Colts did last year.
I also think the Giants are gonna make some waves this year. I'll go out on a limb and say they win the division.
I'm still laughing at JJ McCarthy on the depth chart at #3. Vikings are going to have a wacky season.
Not sure why so many believe the Cowboys are going to have a great year. I predict the usual trajectory....mediocre with Prescott injured mid season.
The NFC South is going to be even uglier than it was last season.
So much for the Rams being "the dream team"....

Looks like another Chiefs/Bills AFC Championship game with the AFC North teams (Bengals and Ravens) maybe playing spoiler .
The Bengals are a threat as long as Burrow stays healthy and they play some defense.
Brutal elbow injury by WSH and Daniels they might be looking at drafting a qb again.
No idea how the NFC is gonna shake out . Looks like Sea/SF/LA R bloodbath and I’m not totally sold on any of the other teams.
Both South Divisions look like effing shit.
Williams injury just complicates things. I think PHI probably still wins the east .
I’d guess if the Bears can weather it and he’s not out too long they will probably win it otherwise Det or GB (counting on Parsons return to help their defense) could sneak in and take it .
No one is catching MIA for worst record and that #1 pick. They stink and have a brutal schedule. Hello whichever qb they are going to draft to replace Marino . Over 25 years now.

Bears dodged a MASSIVE bullet. That could've ended the season. Unfortunately...they're still in trouble. If he's out longer than a week, they're gonna need to find a QB to temporarily steer the ship. Can't place the team in the hands of someone so inexperienced.
Jayden Daniels with the horrific injury....AGAIN.
This is a major problem. If it can happen twice, it can happen 10 times. It happened when all he was doing was falling down and trying to brace for it.
It's not going away. I've seen people say it may be time to move on from him. Not sure it's time for that yet but something has to be done. Put him on IR, have him build himself up...his arms are like twigs...have the medical experts design a brace specifically for him, and maybe change his style of play....
Then come back next season. If they bring him back this season, it'll be a repeat of last season... he'll keep going down.
Raiders quietly shaping up to be the surprise team this year. My money is still on the Jets though.
Bucs season may be in the early stages of imploding. That division is a mess as it is...this allows teams to go to shit and possibly recover in the final weeks of the season....sneaking into the playoffs with an 8-9 or 7-10 record.
The Chiefs are officially back...and IMO will make mincemeat out of that division early.
The Chargers....0-2....are now entering probably the most difficult schedule in the league weeks 3-10. Here are their opponents during that stretch....
Bills
Seahawks
Broncos
Chiefs
Rams
Texans
Ravens
That is INSANE. They could easily be 0-9 heading into week 11.
Harbaugh may not survive the season unscathed.
Lions are in big trouble. It's become obvious that Ben Johnson was the brains of that operation. If the Lions fail to make the playoffs again...do they move on from Campbell? Move on from Goff?
IMO their Super Bowl window has been painted shut.
Eagles are quietly chugging along....
49ers are looking impressive right now. They're reminding me of that 1989-90 Niners team that came out of the gates swinging.
Texans have to get their shit together. Yeah they started 0-2 last year but they may not repeat that success this time. I really like Stroud but he is regressing.
Ravens lost a game they should've won. Probably going to be another topsy turvy season.
Bengals also quietly having a good run. I fucking hate them and I'll be praying for their usual nosedive.
Dallas going to be interesting.

Nice talking NFL with you again. I’ll just respond to some of your points, instead of quoting it since this is kind of a long ass reply.
The Bears Bagnet I think is the backup. Honestly, I think they are better off with him since he knows the offense and most of the guys available via FA aren’t that good. They also have Keenum who has started and is a vet. They be better sitting him vs Philly . PHI has a great defense and you want that hamstring fully healed into Dec and beyond.
Unless WSH totally stinks and gets into the top 3 (and even then they might take that Ohio St WR), I think they bring him back and make him (Daniels ) prove he can stay healthy . I think they look after 2027 for a qb if he just doesn’t progress.
Ouch . I think they beat maybe the Broncos or Texans . Harbaugh will survive for one basic reason. The Chargers ownership are cheapskates . Next to the Cardinals, they might be the second worse. I know they paid up for him (Harbaugh)but I find it hard that they are going to eat the last two years of that contract (32 million) and pay a new coach and staff. Coaching salaries even for first timers are fucking expensive now. I think the defacto reason is the new OC (former MIA HC). Think that guy is on the hot seat
I think the Saints win the crappy NFC south. Bucs HC is on the hot seat he gets canned after they finish with 7-8 wins.
The bottoms of the playoffs (the six and seven seeds ) are the spots that are wide open . Here are the locks right now barring major injury :
BUF, KC,BAL, CIN in the AFC. PHI, the 3 NFC teams , the Bears .
In the AFC it’s a scrum btwn DEN, LV , JAX/HOU , NE and the Jets . Indy behind both AFC south teams . I’m kind of eliminating the Chargers because of that brutal schedule . Speaking of which this where Jets and Vegas got the advantage.
Vegas has TEN, ARZ and KC to end the year . jets have MIA twice, CLE , ARZ and the Chargers .
maye still didn’t look good for NE. Denver has a brutal upcoming schedule . The 3 NFC west teams + Chargers sandwiched in . HOU should be able to make up ground they play a lot of suspect qbs in their upcoming games.
The last NFC spot probably comes down to DAL, GB ,Detroit . The Dart injury is huge and knocks out the Giants . They also had major defensive issues. Oh on the last game of the year : Lions play the pack . The NFL would LOVE for that one to be an elimination game for a playoff birth. Honestly I don’t trust any of these 3 teams and someone’s gotta get in and well these are the best candidates. Detroits defense always bugs me . They should be better but always end up being subpar.

It's official....
Giants are FUCKED.
Jaxson Dart likely out for the season.
They're going to have to shop for a QB... whether by trade or a veteran just sitting at home. Winston will not lead them anywhere but mediocrity.
Caleb MIGHT start next week so the Bears don't have to panic...yet. He should probably sit out for a week... better to be safe than sorry.
If this is one of those seasons...and it appears to be...where a bunch of QBs go down...the whole playoff picture will be completely wide open.
Both Buffalo and Baltimore in a position like they were last year when the Chiefs started losing a bunch of games....
This is the year to step up.
With key QBs going down, teams whose Super Bowl window was shut or in the process of shutting will now find it opening again.
I'm starting to agree with those who say preseason should go back to what it used to be....now the starters barely play and they're getting hurt at the beginning of the season.
Yeah Maye looks to be regressing too. They're lucky to be 1-1.
