OK IRS Lyrics revison...tell me what you guys think

what we have to date

As when you first told me you were gone
So long ago, but I still held on
To all the luck getting outta the debt
That's the truth and here's the worst yet
Wouldn't even matter the things that I say
You made your mind up and called anyway
There's no use now in not dragging it on
Should've seen it coming all along

i've been listening in my car and i think i made a break through on this song

When you first told me you were gone
So long ago, but i've been here alone
For all the bullshit that ive ever said
And lets assume that here's the worst yet
Wouldn't even have mattered the things that i'd say
Made up your mind and fucked off anyway
Got so used now to how that lingered on
Shoulda seen it coming all along

where i typed "bullshit" and "fucked" i cant really make it out...its almost like a radio edit with the swear words scrambled....what does everyone else think of those new lyrics i posted? if its a radio edit thought its pretty convenient hmm theres some speculation for ya 16

Anyway..it feels the same....
as-When you first told me you were gone
so long ago, but i've still held on,
to all the bullshit that i've had to take.
And that's the truth, and here's the worst yet:
Would it even matter the things that i say?
You made your mind up and gone anyway!
And there's no use now in dragging it on..
should've seen it comming all along...

i think where i typed "bullshit" could be "most things"...and "fucked" could be "took"

but at any rate it seems that the vocal track has been pinched at that point...whether its a "radio edit".... or it is a rough demo vocal take i dunno but I think soemthing is up at those 2 places

Here is what I hear(i'm listening to the June 18 demo, same as you guys?)
When you first told me you were gone
So long ago, but i've been here alone
For all the bullshit that ive ever said
And lets assume that here's the worst yet

I can clearly hear the bullshit and after listening to this Very loudly through speakers and headphones i hear called.

that keep you up and sitting pretty,

here's the lyrics at this site. they sound right.  http://www.metrolyrics.com/there-was-a- … roses.html
Social class and registers,
cocaine in the hall,
all the way from California,
on the way to your next call
to those non-negotiations,
(to simulate a call)
all the bad of learning evils and
your ways around the laws
that keep you locked up sitting pretty,
on a pedestal of fear
and now you're sleeping like an angel,
To any man who'd fit in

It's time for my dirty mind to add my usual contribution to the TWAT lyrics debate:

Social Class and Registers
Cocaine in the arm
on the way from California
on the way to your next call
to those non-negotiations
to simulate a cause
for the betterment of evils
and your way around the laws
that keep you up and sitting pretty
on a pedestal up there
and now you're sleeping like an angel
never mind who you gave head...

I swear that's what I hear!!! I'm not sure if i'm alone.... wink

Maybe I'm missing something on the drug front, but doesn't cocaine go up your nose and not in your arm?  Isn't that heroin?  Why would it be ?cocaine in the arm?"

i guess you re missing something.
Upon injection, cocaine reaches the brain in a matter of seconds, and the exhilarating rush that follows can be so intense that it induces some users to vomit uncontrollably.[citation needed] Subjective effects not commonly shared with other methods of administration include a ringing in the ears moments after injection (usually when in excess of 120 milligrams) lasting 2 to 5 minutes including tinnitus & audio distortion. This is colloquially referred to as a "bell ringer".[30] In a study[26] of cocaine users, the average time taken to reach peak subjective effects was 3.1 minutes. The euphoria passes quickly. Aside from the toxic effects of cocaine, there is also danger of circulatory emboli from the insoluble substances that may be used to cut the drug. As with all injected illicit substances, there is a risk of the user contracting blood-borne infections if sterile injecting equipment is not available or used.

An injected mixture of cocaine and heroin, known as 'speedball' is a particularly popular and dangerous combination, as the converse effects of the drugs actually complement each other, but may also mask the symptoms of an overdose. It has been responsible for numerous deaths, particularly in and around Los Angeles, including celebrities such as John Belushi, Chris Farley (in Chicago), Mitch Hedberg (in North NJ) River Phoenix and Layne Staley (in Seattle).

Experimentally, cocaine injections can be delivered to animals such as fruit flies to study the mechanisms of cocaine addiction.[31] taken from wikipedia
