I couldn't work out if it was meant to be Nymeria or not in the end?
It was Nymeria.
"That's Not You" refers to the idea that she'd become a domestic pet again for Arya.
It's a cute call back to what Arya said to Ned when he said she would marry and become a lady: "That's not me".

But you're telling me that in 1992 that public would accept an Axl-less GnR even with all the BS Axl brought? He was never in danger of being fired or replaced.
Axl was a god in 1992.
I'm not saying it would have worked
I don't think the public would have tolerated Axl being fired at all.
To an extent it would work - there would be some smaller interest maintained - consider how VR got some attention as a GNR/STP hybrid.
But the full blown legions would never accept Axl's departure in the same way they never really accepted Slash's departure.
There would be endless reunion calls.
But that said...I can imagine if things had gone a little different...if the others had been clean...a united Slash/Izzy/Duff/Matt type early UYI era line up deciding Axl was late too often...and reaching out to Baz or Cornell or something...
It may not work...but when has that ever stopped anyone in GNR from doing something

]but why should anyone believe there are finished tracks with vocals out there.
Because some of them have leaked or parts of them have leaked.
Off the top of my head we know at least there is:
* The song with the vocals "All Cautions Made, Every Chance Was Given, No Effort Spared To Save What We Have" - I've heard people call this song different names - but it was surely Axl.
* Silkworms - There's a studio version that's different to the live one they did. Similar verses different chorus part, more guitars.
* The Remix of This I Love where Axl is singing in a far higher tone with more rasp over a more electronic instrumental that sounds like a kid's music box. Importantly to me it's not the same vocal take.
We know at least those have vocals we don't have officially.
Then there's other things:
* Blood in the water - seems to be made from a remix of prostitute samples - but was the lyrical content fresh or itself a remix from another unheard track?
* Oh My God Remix - there's a version of this that has more shreddy guitars and sounds like the same Axl vocals but maybe filtered a little differently.
* There's the Bumble and DJ versions of better - although they use the original vocal track.
* Pretty sure Bumble said around 2008 that he had recorded on other tracks that were vocally done but didn't make the album - I think he may have listed Atlas Shrugged in particular but could be wrong about the specific track.
So it seems to me like there's obviously at least enough for some type of EP floating around and that's just from stuff that's made it's way outside...you'd imagine they'd have a lot more.
I've said it once and I'll say it a million times, why would Slash want to record on and release songs written by Robin, Pitman, Tobias, et al?
Once I would have agreed but these days most nights he he plays some of Sorry, Catcher, Chinese Democracy, There was a Time, This I Love etc
If he is happy to do that, I can see he'd be ok with redoing some riffs and solos on CD2 material.
In a way he might even welcome it if Axl gives him the freedom to rock them up a little. Consider the swagger he brings to stuff like CD and Better..you can imagine that working on some of the samples we have...

I don't see it as his pride I see it as something he had to do to survive.
People get mad if you say this, but it's obvious Axl has always suffered from some type of mental health issue. It's clear from most of his behaviours over the past 30 years. In particular it was very blatantly not managed during the UYI tour. He was having meltdowns all over the place. The public sometimes paints him as an asshole for this, but to me it seems like a guy with a mental problem who doesn't have the skills he needs to maintain control of himself.
The industry and everyone around him had also not been too much help because he was so talented and such a cash cow that you will put up with a bit of shit because it all balances out.
But mid UYI tour there was starting to be more shit than even he could get away with.
If he'd been the employee the band may have looked pretty seriously about options to replace him.
So he did what he had to do to stay in his place and that's be the boss.

For or Against Trump personally and republican or democrat...the idea that a sitting president could pardon himself seems absurd to me...regardless of who else is in office.
#1087 Re: Guns N' Roses » Baz recalls Download 06 » 460 weeks ago
Why should have Axl ceded control of the band he fomed ? does n`t make any sense. You don`t relinquish something you created no matter what.
That's not how it happened though.
They were equal partners for AFD and most of UYI era.
Then as part of the label renegotiations axl had the others sign a document saying he owned the name.
Then he started a new legal entity with the same name (as he has the rights to) and asked the others to rejoin as employees.
So in terms of control he leveraged his way from one of a group to the one who calls the shots.
Like i say - he had to do it or risk getting fired, but it's also been what's changed since UYI and why no projects have gone smoothly since.
The pressure of leadership doesn't seem to suit his other issues.
#1088 Re: Guns N' Roses » Baz recalls Download 06 » 460 weeks ago
Let someone else carry the weight...and relieve some anxiety.
Agreed.
But I think it's always been Axl's curse:
His emotional state and the problems he was experiencing during the UYI era was so extreme that he needed to be in control as the only way to protect himself. I mean lets face it - the industry is full of goons that would have fucked him over and lost no sleep if a chance arose, and his own problems were causing such drama that the rest of the band may well have fired him for his antics if he'd been an equal partner not taken charge.
So what's a guy to do? Assuming he was doing his best already to control emotional outbursts, then the only safe way to protect his position was to take control. So he did.
But the price of that is incredible pressure and unfair treatment when anything goes wrong.
So it's kinda his AFD cross to bear..because of his problems .he needed to be in charge, but ironically those problems would be made worse by the stress of being in charge...
#1089 Re: Guns N' Roses » AFD_30 » 460 weeks ago
They should re-record and re-release that and it'll be a hit and the general public will think its a brand new song.
That would be fucking killer.
Although I'm fine with the album version vocals. But I'd love them to get those Axl CD vocals and add Slash/Richard in place of the Robin/Bucket version.
Slash just sounds amazing doing that riff even....and I LOVE his outro.
On a related note. Axl needs to get his remix vocals from TIL (the one 8 seconds of leaked the other year in high pitch) and have Slash solo on that like he does live.
Now that would be a great 1-2 single to me.

Still think Axl sounds like garbage on Jungle. Especially that first verse.
yeah, It's patchy to me.
Like he nailed the opening scream ok (well for modern standards anyway - I still jack off to the 2006 screams at home hahah). But this was solid.
So it started ok - but then the first like of the first verse - that opening "Welcome to the Jungle" was terrible sounding - like physically took me out of rocking out to the song it was so disconcerting - sounded like someone mocking axl for a second.
Then he sort of recovered a few lines in and it was mostly ok after that.
It comes and goes. I guess he must have vocal problems we don't understand to be honest. It's really the only explanation for that kinda thing.
