maybe its eulogy of a broken heart
#102 Re: Guns N' Roses » What is all this about and is it legit? » 890 weeks ago
Didnt Azoff say he would only manage gnr if it was the original line up
#103 Re: Guns N' Roses » Baz talks about the general and the "trilogy" » 892 weeks ago
Yeah, this story isn't getting much play at the forums. Malaise is running through the veins of the GNR fanbase.
The only thing that will stir up the fanbase is a leak or an actual release date. No Baz hype, Beta posts, Del rants, etc. are going to change anything.
why would he
we hve known about the 3 album thingi since 2000

"Rolling Stone magazine named them "Best Live Band in America" 8 years running durring the 80's. I believe it was 8 years."
Bono, I call bullshit on that one. I like to see a Rolling Stone source for that. I was in college in the mid eighties and subscribed to Rolling Stone-never remembered that. First of all, no one I knew in the Athens, Ga scene (which was fairly large at the time with REM) ever even mentioned SA. Everything on college radio focused around REM, The Replacements, The Cure, U2, Husker Du, etc.
So, please show a little documentation if you are going to make bold claims. A lot of great american bands during that time frame. I could be wrong, but I just don't remember it.
When SA reissues their entire catalog and starts receiving pretty substantial features in Billboard, Spin and almost every other credible music publication, you let me know. SA is not nearly as influential and critically acclaimed. Please show me any list of greatest albums of all time or greatest albums of the 80's that even has a SA record on it. You will always see 1 or 2 Replacements records. I am not saying SA is bad band, just not quite on the same level with the Mats. Of course, that is my opinion only.
Here are a couple of lists from two different publications that are fairly credible. The Pitchfork list is good. However, any of the 100 could be interchangeable in order depending on your preference. No SA-WHAT ? The best live band of the 80's with that great songwriter with no classic albums? The Replacements have 2 albums on the Rolling Stone list in the top 250 and 3 albums in the top 100 for Pitchfork. My opinion is shared by others. I could get more lists if you would like, but I am at least providing some sources to back up my claims.

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/ … f_all_time***ding ding** round 1 Bono vs Madagas....just like the old days. Oil and Water don't mix.:haha:
Those list are both shit
Esp the 80s one. How can any 80s list not have AFD or The Joshua Tree in the top 5? De La soul over both of them, give me a break

Bono wrote:All those Illusion songs had lots of play back in the day but once their time was up mainstream radio fell back to the big three from AFD. At least here that's how it went.
Yeah, UYI dropped off the worlds radar very quickly.
On most best 90's albums lists, it never even makes it.
AFD will always be GNR's bread and butter.
UYIs are vastly underrated.

I think we're watching the remains of the old NEW lineup fal apart. Soon all the replacements will have been replaced.
Tommy is the last one left.
Its Just Axl and Tommy now. (Dizzy doesnt count since he is from UYI GNR like Axl).
BH was replaced, Brain was replaced, Tobais was replaced, Robin will be replaced. Its really a joke.

didn't a clip of chinese democracy leak before the full version did?
But that clip had vocals with axl singing, this does not. its just a scream.
From what I recall, the part of Chinese Democracy that leaked was the intro with the Chinese "talking" and it ended after the intro chords were hit. No Axl singing there.
Looking at the IDv2 Tag, it says the Composer was Arthur Fridman and encoded using iTunes v7.6.2. That could be a further clue to indicate that it's fan made. Of course, anyone could've filled that in, but it can also be imported by default when using recording software.
That was the 2nd clip of CD to leak, the first was the "cause it would take a lot more...." part

why do you think the leak cuts out right before the vocals.one theory that comes to mind is that someone is threatening to leak the rest if they don't get what they want.
