Yeah thats weird about him. Didn't know he was older than me, he's 50. So he woulda been 30 when they hit big. Maybe he was past it, but a weird decision to not ride the fun out, and money. I don't recall the news of them breaking up but I remember that first song being huge. Non stop.

There were alot of one hit wonders kinda like him, Rockabye song, Standing Outside a Broken Payphone With A Quarter In My Hand song, mostly solo acts. Wonder what it was that he just couldn't do it. I guess look at Izzy or Brain from Korn, but they did it for a few years tho, geez, he's like Field Of Dreams guy, wanted 1 shot at it and walked away content.

Still wanna be stuck between Natalie Portmans legs? 16

It's weird seeing him that old. Yikes.

Yeah it's a serviceable performance. He could take it on the road if he wanted to.

It's too bad they only did the one song. A 2-3 song set would've been nice.

At least it happened.

lol, I agree with BigBri, also tho, this all probably came up quick, might not have had much time to get in shape. Just a mid-40s dude who had a few too many beers in his life. Unlike Jlo Gaga etc who have fitness routines personal trainers, and dieticians for months leading up to it.

Always found the “courtney love and marilyn manson” line from You Get What You Give insanely cringeworthy but the song was catchy. Just saved the album on Spotify after James’ constant endorsements so I’ll give it a whirl.

I was meaning to post this a few weeks back in this thread, it's possible that line torpedo'd his bands career. Yeah he got away with a surprise hit, but if the album is as good as you guys say it to be, its very possible MM & Courtney Love refused to do future TRL or MTV interviews etc at the time (98-99) which, they were at the top of the charts back then for the most part.

The band Pavement had a line '
Out on tour, with the Smashing Pumpkins,
nature kids, but they don't serve no function
I don't really understand, what they mean
& I could really give a fuck'

and I read recently where Billy Corgan kept them off Lollapalooza 94 as a result. They stayed a popular indie band but never achieved radio success after that song (Range Life, I think). They also sorta bash STP
Stone Temple Pilots, they're elegant bastards
Are they foxy to you, I will agree
that I don't know what they mean
and I could really, give a fuck.

Totally. I needed to read that to be reminded of what a President should be.

Lady Gaga was pretty good. A little bit operatic, some vocal gymnastics but more range than I assumed she had. Gymnastics weren't as annoying as Christina's typically are, more of a song than a tryout.

Someone opined on Twitter that the Feds might be holding back details on Boebert & others who gave rioters a tour the day before, so trump cant give them a pardon. Could be big if true, those were serious crimes.

In 91 to replace Izzy yeah, although Gilby was fine.  In 2002?  Im not so sure, dont know his style exactly but I dont see a Black Crowes style in what at the time was "nu-Guns".

Maybe couldve given CD a more rock feel, but i think it wouldnt have lasted & been a mess.

They were good games yesterday.  Ravens backup game in a did ok it seemed, only, he had that bomb clear TD that he just overthrew by about 2 yards, devastating. He bounced back tho. Bills are a good team, great for the city/area.

Machete is way cooler than I remembered. Myb i didnt even see the first and rented the sequel on redbox, i dunno. Barely remember it but wish i saw it in theaters.

Jessica Alba is terrible in it lol, almost a parody. I doubt its her voiceover and they constantly cut away every 3 seconds to a cutaway shot because she cant hold a scene. Made me realize how great Uma Thurman was in Pulp Fiction.
