I mean cheating in that he altered the melody of the screams to skip the highest note.

Don't get me wrong it's still killer that he is screaming his guts out. But he's made the tune slightly easier here by lowering it a little.

I wish it was a staple. I think Axl would improve from doing it often like he's done on some other tracks.

I like Slash's version - the highpart towards the end brings it to a nice crescendo.

Depends on the criteria for me.

I would rate it:

Best Verse Vocals, and Ending Vocals : NYC 2006

Best Screams in the Middle: Jokyo 2009

Closest Outro Solo to the Record version: Bumblefoot Vegas 2014

Coolest Outro Solo: Slash Version - the way he plays buckets parts but adds those high bits kills it. Not sure if Mexico or San Diego was better - I think the boot is clearer from Mexico!

It's all bitter sweet for me as the gold of this to me is the high parts in the middle, but overall I love the current bands version. My hope is they do it often enough that eventually Axl goes for the high part one more time and someone films it!

Yeah Axl still not hitting he high parts of the scream but at least he's using rasp on it.

Slash sounded awesome!
