I feel a duel album is likely - sort of how this tour Slash is given Coma in the setlist to please him, and Slash learned the Chinese songs to please Axl.
Imagine they'd do the slash-approved songs of CD2 and then maybe Axl would do 1-2 brand new songs with Slash.
That's the dream anyway!

I don't really approve of wolf whistling and I can even see banning it as I can imagine it's stressful to women but what I find odd about this is the idea that it's hateful.
People do it when they find a woman attractive, which is not 'motivated by prejudice or hatred'. Feeling the desire to express to someone that you find them attractive isn't prejudice. Possibly, rude as fuck and should be stopped but it isn't prejudice.

I'm hopeful something will surface.
Slash postponing Myles is a very good sign.
When you consider even DJ did a better remix....it would actually be kinda nuts to assemble a band like this and not do anything.

Why are we still letting this album haunt Axl??? So silly. Let's get the new shit with Slash and Duff and make this a "band" again.
Agreed...but the question is why is Axl letting it haunt him. They need a new single or something to put this shit to bed.

What's more a realistic scenario: a professional producer coming in and being an asshole and rage quitting or Axl at the height of his megalomania being an unprofessional dick when someone gracefully quits the project after two days?
You know who else didn't want to work nights? Duff. The list of people who got tired of Axl's antics is fairly exhaustive at this point.
I didn't say he rage quit. I said it's pretty obvious from his version of events that he just couldn't be bothered dealing with Axl's ways. Slash and Duff are founders and key talent within the band - they have a right to want to set the terms. This guy on the other hand is just a label producer - these blokes change with the fashions at the label - there's always another 'it' guy to get the sound they want.
I'm not saying Axl's not hard to work with, just sounds like this bloke didn't try too hard, basically quit on the first night.

Oh please.
At no point is "fuck you, lose my pager number" a reasonable response.
And the "I work when I want and only when I want" philosophy worked wonders for Axl.
It might be a reasonable response if we knew more about other conversations. Like had Axl been pressured to see this producer in the first place? Had the producer only the night before been upbeat about the project and talking it up only to quit in the morning?
As I said I think the major problem since the 1990s was that Axl hides behind team brazil instead of dealing with people directly, but, this really seems like this guy quit because his personal circumstances (wife etc) couldn't handle working nights.

I can be critical of Axl but this straight up sounds like this producer just wasn't willing to work nights.
I mean with proper planning he could have changed to night shift mode so that start times of midnight-3am were not a case of being up past your functional hours.
It seems kinda like the guy was cut that he had to work nights, then when Axl didn't have the songs done and ready to go he just bailed.
I think Axl's hiding behind handlers and so on is fundamental to the break up of the old band, but at the same time if he wants to work nights I think he's important enough to the project that he be allowed to.

Watched this again today (free ticket).
Enjoyed it more second time around now I knew what to expect.
Although I do think Leto tried a bit hard, I must admit due to the Joker character his scenes are sort of show stealing. Basically I find him, deadshot and Harley really carried the film.
Leto said they cut out a lot of Joker stuff - will be interesting to see if we get more on DVD.

It's not the latter that's needing meds if you ask me and if you say the Axl of 16 is the result of meds then they're clearly fucking miracle pills and he should have been on them years ago.
I don't want this to sound disrespectful to Axl but it's possible he should have.
If you go over the 'evidence' of the past there's an absolute ton of evidence to suggest Axl suffers from some type of mental illness - diagnosed or otherwise. Perhaps he's just a creative genius or a little eccentric or whatever, however so many of his symptoms are similar to those of people with certain issues that it makes me raise an eyebrow.
We all know the things: the rage incidents, the criminal record, the problems with his wives, unusual behaviours, ostracising himself, unnecessary secrecy, people being treated as either saints or devils, believing a version of the truth not perceived by others, acting against his own self interests, apparently wide mood swings between his usual 'nice' Axl and a person people are afraid of.
Add that in to the very legitimate non-illness reasons Axl has to act in this manner: Many business types in music ARE untrustworthy, the general public IS watching him because he's famous, there IS a shit ton of pressure from labels and fans and so on, and you have a situation where a person's career and life situation might be compounding and exaggerating aspects of an existing mental illness.
As for it being a miracle cure. I'm not so sure - aside from forgiving slash - a lot of these improvements have been gradual from at least 2011 era if not a bit before. Which is also the time where he started visibly gaining weight which is a common side effect of such medications.
To me it could easily be that he started medication 4-5 years ago or more and that some time was spent adjusting the dose and so on and here we are.
Although it might seem like a miracle, maybe it's just a long term illness finally getting some treatment.
Anyway, obviously it's speculation, but to me it's quite plausible, what's the alternative? That Axl just decided to stop doing all these problematic things that have made him and others so unhappy for 30 years or more? Seems strange to me.

I like the screams from 2006 but you need a slash version for the guitars.
