Axl doesn't give a damn about his own record. Why should the rest of the world? There is no conspiracy, but Axl's arrogancy and childish crying is annoying. He even managed to make his own fans pissed off, so how could he collect the sympathy of non-fans?
DEAD WRONG
if he didn't care about it he would have released it 6 years ago when the iron was hot.
We may not agree with what he does outside of the studio but this album deserves the same treatment as any other album and that is to be judged by it's own merits.
i'm not talking about the sales here - I'm talking about the music. Isn't that what this was supposed to be about in the first place? I'm talking about the DJ's that think it's ok to use their influence on the public irresponsibly by talking negatively about things they have no clue about.
axl should be judged by his fans for the way he "treats" his fan base.
The dj's just need to play the fuckin songs and promote their station.

Writing credits only matter to those that deal with the money. The public has heard Axl Rose's "vision" and responded with a pretty resounding no thanks. All that does is add credibility to those that feel Axl needed Slash just as much as Slash needed Axl.
Whoever wrote that NR without Axl would be a pretty boring song with a great outro better also believe that without Slash it would have been a pretty boring song without a great outro.
i think you are talking about my comment about coma right there.
you are absolutely correct about nr though. not a great song IMO, great lead guitar work but no izzy. i've been saying from day one that guitars or vocals don't save bad songs. you can still appreciate the individual efforts but the structure of the song must have integrity first and foremost and nr does not. this also holds axl back. there is nowhere for him to go with his trademark vocals when the music is so monotone and boring.

true, although, it is axl that made that song epic
take out the vocals and the special effects and you have a pretty basic song with a nice outro

Prostitute. Awful.
there should be a rule that says: if, by the tenth round, a song has more total votes (from the previous rounds) than the other four combined it is then disqualified.
that oughta get the wannabe steelheart song outta here.

thanks bono. dave pirner is one of my favorites. my friend claims he was selling door to door for his job here in minneapolis and ended up at dave's house before he made it big and dave said he had no money to buy anything but offered to share some of his chocolate with him? kind of an odd story but he was much too old to lie to me about something so silly.

i enjoy most of bumble's covering parts on the album but it's his contributions, creatively speaking, that i dig the most (other than the solo on riad). His solo on shacklers is awesome but you would never hear me trash on bucket's contributions or put a label over someone's head for liking him more than others do. as an individual i prefer bucket but i see lots of good from both on the album. axl had many chances to releases the album long before bumble even came around and he chose not to. although the reasons as to why this kept happening to axl are probably multiple, we know he was still not completely happy with the album as late as early '07. before you say "he still isn't" he did finish enough music that he was satisified with enough to turn in to the record company for release at some point, many years after it was supposedly finished. i tend to just trust axl's decisions when it comes down to how he makes his own visions come to fruition and embrace what the final piece of artwork becomes. don't get me wrong, it could be better in some spots but axl's way of pulling everything together in good times and in bad is what makes the album cool.

Catcher is a wonderland of ear candy.
It is , along with sorry, my favorite song on the album.
i think some of these songs that "hold on" are more respected or popular than we originally thought. People like myself don't bother talking about how much they love these songs because we assume nobody wants to hear it. it's one of those songs that gets trashed on every 5 minutes but, in the end, it's only being done by a handful of people.
