The thing I'd keep an eye on in the future is the saints kicking game. Nothing torpedoes a super bowl team or ran faster than a shitty kicker.
Can you blame Childress for not running the ball or is that on Favre? The last 2 times they got the ball I don't think they ran it once.

last night was not as productive for me as i would have liked
I had Peterson and he did not have the game I expected. 19 car 87 yds is ok but when my opponent has Chris Johnson on his team that was bad for me. I don't know why the Vikings kept on throwing the ball in the 2nd half; at some point Favre was 0-7 in that half.
Hope none of you guys drafted Garret Hartley.

Outside of the predictable set list, no bitching from me. I'm glad that he came out on time and performed and conducted himself like a professional.

I don't know faldor, judging by this thread, the only team in the NFL is the Patriots, so I'd say they have a pretty good shot at winning it all.
Bills questions:
Who's the starter at running back? How many touches is CJ Spiller expected to get (especially in Week 1)?
Also, the Broncos dumped CB Alphonso Smith to the Lions for some 3rd TE. This is only noteworthy because DEN traded the 14th pick in the draft for the rights to draft Smith. That is a very bad use of resources by DEN.
I'm sure the Pats talk will subside once the games start in a few days. Beats nothing but Favre talk on other sites.

1. GN'R will finish this tour: False, there are close to 20 more shows in Europe alone
2. GN'R being 90 min late in Rome: Under
3. GN'R being ontime or less than 30 min late for 3 shows on the entire rest of tour: He's been late every night I don't see that changing. Under
4. No other crowd will throw anything at the stage for the rest of the tour: False
5. A bandmember will quit before tour ends: False. They need the money if anyone quits it'll be after the tour.
6. There will be one riot before tour ends: True
7. 2 canceled gigs for rest of tour: Over
8. We will hear at least one song on this tour we haven't heard them play yet: False, it seems like going through the motions here.

I do think that some of the press stories seem to focus a little too much on the fact that he left the stage. But the band actually did return and perform the rest of the show.
The comments from the Stinson vents at Del James story make it seem he just left and never came back to the arena when that is not the case.
#1387 Re: The Garden » 2010 Fantasy Football » 819 weeks ago
there are rumors that oakland is looking at leinhart as well
He's gonna get cut anyway. I wouldn't bother giving up a draft pick for him.
Montario Hardesty of the Browns tore an acl and is out for the year. Buzzsaw has him on his FF team. Time to pick up another rb buzz.

From top to botton on the qbs
Henne--added Marshall and got rid of stone hands ginn; he's probably the best of the bunch here.
Alex Smith--has a good rb, good te, and a good young wr. They also revamped the OL adding Iupati and Davis during the draft. He showed some promise during 2006(or 2007, forget which year it was) and got injured the following year. It's up to him otherwise they'll be looking for a qb if he bombs out
Vince Young--homer alert. He's looked good this year in preseason. He worked on throwing to his left in the offseason and that seems to have helped. He'll be facing a lot of eight man fronts this year and has a good ol. He'll give you some rushing yards as well. TE note--keep an eye on Craig Stevens this year; he could get a bunch of catches this year
Garrard--hard to know what to make of him. Sims-Walker and MJD are great offensive players. Garrard had a great 3rd down conversion rate a few years ago; don't know what happened to him last year.
Cassell--He could bounce back with Chambers and Bowe, and Charles + Jones in the backfield.
Hasselbeck--looked awful last year. No real playmakers at WR; rookie OT okung out for a few games. Houshmanzadeh will probably be cut.
Freeman--showed some signs late last year; but he's only in his second year. Probably the best upside of the lower group
Campbell--ugh offensive talent in OAK is not good. He took too many sacks as a redskin last year too.
#1389 Re: Guns N' Roses » Stinson Vents at Del James During Dublin Concert » 819 weeks ago
Just signed up there as I couldn't believe what I was reading.
Now, the O2 has a STRICT 11pm curfew, always has (even when it used to be The Point Depot).
This is not because Harry Crosbie wants it that way, he could not give a fcuk if bands played until 5am, but its has to be 11pm for transport reasons.
Lots of multi stories lock up at midnight and your car is lock down till 8am if you don't collect it, trains and buses all leave at 11.30pm etc.
If you live in Dublin like myself, no big deal - but if you are after driving for four hours to see the concert, your basically on the streets for the night.
So, long story short - the curfew is there for a reason, we all know about it in Ireland and EVERY band is made aware of that also.
This is one reason that I don't think has been discussed enough in the lateness issue. In Europe people use public transportation a lot more than in the US. Most of the train/buses stop running at around 12am. So when Axl shows up late and the shows run routinely past midnight it fucks over a lot of people who depended on public transportation to get back home.
Anyway it's strange that in 2006 he actually showed up early to a Dublin show as opposed to this round.

Assuming this article is accurate, I'd say the cummulative effect of things have taken a toll on Tommy. It's not just the late starts; it's the lack of music being released and having very little power or say in the band.
It just seems like there's something a little extra going on here. It's a nightly occurrence that things are hurled at the stage now. It's almost a part of the show. Maybe they should build themselves a bubble that they can play in for protection.
Honestly though, it just seems some concertgoers are taking matters into their own hands and they feel they have the right to become part of the show. I mean, this was a SOLD OUT show and this happened. I just don't get it.
I'd say it's because people are peeved at having to wait a long time and that they're drunk. I'm surprised this doesn't happen a lot more at GNR concerts.
