Right out in the open now. That dude is a member of EU Parliament. I think that blue mark means it's legit?

Which is it? And who is this guy to have any authority on what happened? How is this out in the open? Because someone is verified on Twitter their tweets are gospel?
I know if I was involved in the sabotage of an international pipeline that could spark WW3, I’d definitely be on social media bragging about it for the likes.

Has Russia not been shutting down and cutting back gas to Western Europe for the entirety of this year?

I'm not going to defend the US in Iraq. However, we don't control any territory nor any of the oil conspiracists alleged were behind the invasion. Has the US retained any territory its taken since before WW2?

I could come up with a million reasons from conjecture why Russia would do this. None of them have any bearing other than a regime willing to risk global sanctions and WW3 to retake ancestral land probably wouldn't hesitate to destroy a pipeline they already shut off. Maybe Putin is aware he could be clipped soon and a new regime installed. Maybe Russia doesn't want the temptation of German money once the cold autumn breeze turns to a winter chill. Maybe Russia knows half the world will blame the US.
It's very sad for low income Germans who will struggle to afford heat this winter, but this isn't an unplanned or unrealized problem. It was evident that it would be an issue the moment Germany joined in with the rest of the West's response to Russia invading Ukraine. Just as our sanctions are hurting normal Russians, this move is going to hurt normal Germans.
The American Democratic party has been giddy with excitement since oil prices spiked. They think it's a great opportunity to pretend wind mills and solar can replace nuclear or fossil fuels. Biden approving sabotage on multiple allies who are on the front lines of a potential nuclear war with Russia just doesn't seem plausible or comparable to any US action taken in the last 50 years. Hacking a nuclear plant of a radical Islam regime is a far cry from destroying the primary fuel source from Russia to Western Europe.
But I'm aware plenty of people still believe America orchestrated 9/11, so it's no surprise people would immediately want to believe the US was behind this. I guess we'll see how easy this can be repaired. If it's a couple weeks of underwater welding, whoever was responsible didn't do a very good job.

Yea, every article I read points the blame in the direction of Russia (without qualification). I'll wait for the swedes and danes to finish their investigation.

I hear America blew up the German pipeline. If this was the old days there would be war, but now I guess Germany will just sit and take it.
Can you link a story saying the US was responsible for the suspected sabotage? Nothing I'm finding is saying that. And how do you think a war with America would end, especially since the German military is incredibly underfunded and undertrained.
If America is responsible, by all means the current administration should be condemned and held accountable. But due to the American media's inability to critique and report factually on Biden, the fact Germany is the primary enabler of Russian aggression, and the difficulty in getting the EU and NATO to agree to condemn the US should intel really indicate the US is responsible, I don't see anything happening. Especially since Putin is threatening Europe with tactical nuclear strikes.

Fire and blood reads more like a history book than a novel. Which is what house is based on. I'm enjoying the show at the moment. I dont see as many problems as posted by others.
Indeed. Which is why I’m puzzled by the versions of events and changes they’ve chosen. How is Cole murdering Joffrey in cold blood in the middle of the throne room an improvement over killing him during the tournament after the wedding as it happens in the book? If you want morally grey characters, showing Daemon murder his wife and having Cole murder Joffrey doesn’t help.
The Strong boys were heavily hinted at in the book, but Rhaenys herself had brown hair instead of white. So there was plausible deniability. Daemon’s children being fathered by a Valaryion and looking like the offspring of a light skin and dark skinned person makes Viserys an absolute cartoon not to recognize their illegitimacy and disown Rhaenyra. Their entire agreement and why he continued her as his heir was because she agreed to be dutiful. There is zero question that Rhaenyra’s children are not Laenor’s. None. That’s incredibly problematic when you’re trying to get allegiance from a society whose laws afford bastards no inheritance right, and often executed a woman for infidelity.
Mushroom’s account of events was the most sensational and least credible, but he seems to be winning over the show runners.

My problem with it is it doesn't adhere to its own canon and rules. Cole isn't higher in order of things than a highborn lord, least of all the future consort to the queen. Cole decks Laenor and nothing comes of it. He murders a knight at a feast, and again, no penalty. But Strong decks him and Strong is exiled from the capitol. That's not how any of this works.
Viserys is cartoonishly stupid. Yes women dying from child birth without modern medicine is a a risk, but not more so than constant infections and amputations in a world without sterilization and antibiotics. Drogo gets a cut on his pectoral and is dead from infection in days, yet Viserys is losing fingers and limbs and is covered in boils for 2 decades and is peachy keen. But this is the same show where Arya is stabbed repeatedly and deeply in the abdomen, falls into a river of human excrement, and is able to run a decathlon without so much as getting a fever. The later seasons of GoT were panned for their cartoonish stories and behavior, and HoTD is no different in this regard.

How long until the $500 package is half off? I want the vinyl, but know this will be a clearance rack item in 12 months.

It's going to be weird with Amazon having Thursday night games. I keep seeing ads for it. I always thought games should be broadcast on regular tv like the old days and now we're skipping cable tv and headed straight for the internet/apps.
This is probably the future of sports.
Without a doubt. If the NFL can cut out the middlemen, they get all the ad revenue. Which means the games will become even longer due to increased commercial breaks. I understand the players appreciate them at times for breaks, but it truly is the greatest example of corporate profit at the cost of a sport. It’s one of the main reasons the sport hasn’t taken off in Europe.
I was shocked that both Green Bay and Cincinnati lost. Vikings aren’t bad, but Pittsburgh lacks any real offensive threat. 5 turnovers and they finish regulation with 20 points?
KC and Buffalo looked the best this week. Top contenders in the AFC for sure.
I’m so happy Watt isn’t out for the season. Let’s hope my boys manage a win over NE Sunday. I’m rushing to the airport early to catch the game before we fly out for the week.
