#141 Re: Guns N' Roses » Supporting Baz [and Axl].. who will buy Angel Down? » 921 weeks ago

based on just hearing a few songs Baz played on the tour with G&R (in which Baz put on a hell of a show when I saw him) and being a Skid Row fan and a Baz fan in general I was planning on buying the album. Now after hearing the low quality tracks with Axl there is no doubt I am getting the album smile

I sure hope it is a sequel and not a remake, not that I would look forward to either, just the original movie kicks so much ass and is one of my fav movies of all time, I would hate for it to have a remake...although I am kinda interested in how a sequel would play out, especially if they got the original cast back

1. Who broke up the old band?
d. All of the above. It was def fate, everyone knew when the band started it could be only a matter of time before things errupted. There was tension when the band first started, just look at the numerous times each member worked with each other, and getting sick of one another and splitting again to form different bands, eventually all getting together and just putting up with each other due to the fact they all created a great vibe in a band together. They stayed together for so long because of the success they knew they could have and then they did have, eventually the tension was too much.
Also you can also throw in the fact after Izzy left more tension develpoed in the band and they never recovered. One of the final blows was Axl deciding to bring in Paul Huge for SFTD, which pissed off Slash (No I am not saying this is Axl's fault, Slash could have just eccepted it and moved on with the band, but at that point things were getting heavy...) Also, one last point, it is def hard to pin the break up of the band on any one particular member in this case, every band member had their part in the break up really.

2. Do you want a reunion before Chinese Democracy-all original members only?
b. No. I def want to hear Chinese Democracy with what Guns N' Roses is now, plus being a VR fan it's great having the possibility of 2 major rock bands out there for awhile. There is plenty of time to think about a reunion long after Chinese Democracy.

3. What is holding up Chinese Democracy?
d. a & b. We all know the fact that Axl is a perfectionist and wants any and all of his records to be perfect in his mind. Also, no doubt there are a lot of business matters to figure out.

4. If it is business matters, who is at fault?
c. both a & b. Again we all know Axl is difficult to work with, so even if the album tracks were done and only mixing/producing needed to be done, you know Axl will hold this up (again perfection). Also, the record company is of course in charge of moving things along as smoothly as possible, and working with Axl I am sure the record company would like to put their input into the album(s).

5. Assume Chinese is a smashing success, after all the current material is released, would you still want a reunion of the original band?
a. Yes. Eventually anyway, let Axl finish the whole Chinese Democracy thing, maybe release a 2nd album with the current band and do a good few years of touring. Also, VR is a great band (and yes I know many of you guys may not like the band, but facts are facts they have 2 very well selling albums and are doing well with touring. When things start to run down a bit for both bands, or maybe during the middle while both bands may be recording new albums they can take a break and do a reunion tour.

awesome. Was LNIV a bonus track from Japan or something? I had to get the debut album from itunes cos my record store doesn't carry it, and its not on the Australian itunes release.

yeah it was a bonus track on the Japan release, although the song can easily just be found online to download (which of course I recommend wink)

This game kicks F*CKIN' A$$!!!

been playing on expert and have unlocked most of the songs and have tried the battle with Slash, but had to "wuss out", the whole battle experience is a bit different (although very cool) it's just a bit hard to learn how to actually battle in the game. It's hard to explain without actually giving away how the battle works as I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it's kind of like face-off mode from the previous GH games with added twists, just against Slash(or Tom Morello) and Slash's battle song kicks some ass too (from what I have been actually gotten through anyway tongue)

Since the game isn't actually out yet I won't spoil anything for anyone, but I will say this is more than likely my fav GH game already, the new features just make the game amazing and the graphics look awsome(although the singer looks like one of the muppets now to me tongue)

9.5 out of 10 from me 3
also, this is for the ps2 and with the old guitar still, I am hopefully getting one of the new guitars this Sat. smile

when this comes out Sat go grab the game 22

now back to the game to rock out some more and hopefully beat Slash

Been a fan ever since their first album smile
saw them live in '06 also 5

the only reason I think people are just realizing who they are more is because of '15' and the fact that the break up caused Timebomb to go pretty much unnoticed and then the casual rock fan only remembered them for 'Lit Up', but now that they released such a great album with '15' they are becoming to be noticed again.

also, 'For the Movies' and "Late Nights in Voodoo' are probably my fav songs (both from the first album, LNIV being a bonus track)
