I thought he died. I know Corey Haim did. Haim was a pimp.
Quoted for truth
I have no shame in admitting it
I LOVED Corey Haim. An icon of his day. The fucking man. Had the pleasure of talking to the guy a couple times via the internet. I miss him dearly.
Feldman?
The wrong Corey died. Everyone is afraid to say it, but we all know it's the truth.

Then it's just a formality: Hillary Clinton will be president. She'll win in a landslide. No doubt in my mind. Two of the worst nominees in my lifetime.
It'll never happen.
I'm telling you.
We're going to come back to this post in November, I promise you that. Not only (keeping in mind no dirty tricks), straight Trump vs. Hilary... not only will Trump win, he'll win by over 60% of the popular vote.
Yep

Holy shit...Bri is right. I didn't listen to that vid I posted last night yet, I just checked out Soothsayer.
:20-:35 and :52-:55 to anyone that doesn't want to hear the whole song.
He is definitely taking liberties with the material. Tehnically he has always done this but it is too noticeable now. When you're fucking around with your set's big enchilada to that degree, something is wrong. He's almost ruining this song.
I gotta listen to a whole show tonight. I want to hear the portion of Crash Victim he plays.
I don't know what his issue is but he's definitely NOT catering these shows to hardcore fans. They will notice this stuff immediately. You're also right about the tone. It sounds a tad off. I'll have to hear more before judging that too harshly.
HOnestly as much as I love Soothsayer I'd rather he play a newer track in its place if he's going to do that with the song.
OMG... this might be the worst i've ever seen him.
His flow is off. He's stiff. His tone is WRONG. He's missing key parts.
Wow... not like him.
Maybe he just is having to dust the cob webs off having not performed live in like 4 years.
I was thinking about going, but with the same standard setlist, and these kinds of performances... i'm not traveling 4 hours round trip for that.
It makes that 2011 performance I saw before his life went to hell, all the more special.
All the best to him, I hope he figures it all out. He's the best guitarist GN'R ever had.
#144 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » "I quit the oldies band" - Chris Pitman » 479 weeks ago
Yeah something serious happened. I agree.
Even DJ Ashba, whom everyone said there was a hidden beef, has basically babyfaced on them and has marked out to them and wished Axl and the guys all the very best, again and again.
Chris took the other route.
I personally feel Chris got disrespected by one of Axl's handlers. Maybe Beta. Who knows. I think Chris, like Dizzy & Frank & Richard, basically gave a shout out on "announcement day" of Coachella. The rest of the band was told to shut up, and that it was supposed to just be Axl, Slash & Duff announcing that day (because again -- it's a re-branding).
The rest were fine with the reduced role (although I think something is wrong with Dizzy too. He looks slighted... jmho)
But Chris was insulted and said something because his ego is far larger than Dizzy's.
Suddenly, he's gone.
It's gotta hurt somewhat. I don't blame the guy. But to go out and say "I quit the oldies band", just sounds like a jealous, scorned lover, who just got dumped, and is trying to spin the situation into "I dumped them FIRST!"
Like others have said, other than the few CD-heavy shows of the 2009-10 performances, Chris has been touring this nostalgia act/oldies-band since 1998, and had absolutely no problem with cashing that check (or that ass), during that period.
Now it's a problem. What I find sad, is Chris is basically the guy who set up Pro Tools at Axl's guest house and TAUGHT HIM how to use it... wow... I guess they weren't as close as they thought.
My guess is it came down to what it always comes down to -- M-O-N-E-Y. There's already been rumors of the band getting paid the same session rate, even though Axl, Slash & Duff are RAKING in the cash at 3-4x the amount they were before.
If true... Chris being gone for that reason could also confirm why Izzy was cut out and why Matt wasn't even asked.
Food for thought

Thanks for the interview Tracey. Always loved your backing vocals during that period. Loved that UYI sound.
I miss it too. All the best.
#146 Re: Guns N' Roses » Secret show: April 1, L.A.? » 479 weeks ago
Great pic, but yeah I agree on Dizzy. Other than Axl going out of his way to introduce him UYI-style during the Estranged piano solo at the Mexico City shows, Dizzy seems more faded to the background on this tour than ever before. Including the UYI days, when Axl basically bailed on press, and everybody was so fucked up on something, that Dizzy & Matt (and eventually Gilby) were thrust into doing most of the press.
monkeychow wrote:I'm starting to think two keyboardists is the three guitarists of this tour.
They have had 2 key board players since UYI days tho..
They've always had keyboards. Even on Appetite, there was session keyboard under-layer shit added in to fatten the songs and give them more depth.
So when people jump on that kick... guys... there was ALWAYS keyboards in Guns N' Roses. They just didn't highlight them until 1990. Unlike The Doors & Deep Purple, where the keyboardist was the 2nd or 3rd most important player/writer in the band.
#147 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl Rose joins AC/DC » 479 weeks ago
I've always been a HUGE AC/DC fan. I can't wait. They just got infinitely cooler somehow. (even though I LOVE Brian and will dearly miss him)
I said it before and i'll say it again.
Axl was BORN to play this track
#148 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses Reload With a Dependable (and nice?) Frontman » 479 weeks ago
Fuck this article. Just because Axl Rose didn't suck the media's dick back in the day, and still doesn't, doesn't make him an asshole.
This article reeks of media, corporatist, insider-bullshit that they have been spewing on Axl for over 20 years.
Now all of the sudden, Axl Rose, the biggest heel in the history of rock, turns super babyface, comes in full Shawn Michaels finding Jesus-style and lays some sweet chin Music on the business, all of the sudden the media are Pro-Axl... but still have to roll him under the bus in the article, instead of just admitting they were FUCKING WRONG for 20 years.
Fuck this article. Fuck Billboard. Axl/Slash for President 2016.
I'm out
#149 Re: Guns N' Roses » Any Rumors on Opening Acts? » 479 weeks ago
Black Crowes would be a great choice. I have never wanted Baz/Skid Row involved. I was a fan back in the day but I'd rather they go a different route.
Having said that, it's truly amazing that Skid Row isn't willing to let bygones be bygones and make up with Baz so they can potentially open stadiums. It's better than bowling alleys.
Welcome to the forum.
Ugh... I would consider selling my ticket if Black Crowes open the show. I've just never, ever, cared for their vocalist, and if they open, i'd probably skip the opener.
My personal choices...
I am PRAYING for Alice In Chains. Never seen them live, and it would be an amazing 1-2 punch to see my favorite band ever, and my 2nd favorite band ever on the same ticket.
My choices:
Alice In Chains
Soundgarden
The Cult
Sixx:AM (80's connection to Crue, DJ connection to Guns, current rock band on the scene)
Rob Zombie (wouldn't be opposed to this, but I think Rob & GNR's crowd are different groups)
Lesser known choices:
Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown
Blackberry Smoke
Texas Hippie Coalition
Monster Truck
Dream choices:
White Zombie reunited
Skid Row w/ Sebastian Bach
Whitesnake w/ Doug Aldrich
Also... if the band decides to go with 2 openers similar to past shows, an older and a newer, smaller name, I think a neat choice would actually be LA Guns (hold laughter). Seriously, after all the numerous lineups, Phil Lewis & Tracii Guns have recently reunited on the LA Guns lineup and are currently touring actually. For all the old school GN'R fans, LA Guns might be a neat add, if they also add a newer act on the bill.
Plus with all the crazy shit that has gone on this year, it'd be pretty neat to see Tracii Guns invited back on stage to do a 2016 version of "Shadow of Your Love". A long-lost GN'R gem.
#150 Re: Guns N' Roses » Nightrain Official Site » 479 weeks ago
If they are adding dates... this tour is a major success. I never ever thought i'd see the day after the trainwreck that that Mark XI lineup of GN'R + Slash could sell out stadiums and/or play multiple 2-3 dates in each city. Wow.
It just goes to show how many real GN'R fans were always out there, starved to see the real Guns N' Roses (Axl + Slash... let's be honest) do a tour in the modern day.
I hope they enjoy as much of 2016 as they can. And at least drop a new single or more in a possibly GH set. Let 2016 be as big as it can be.
Even with lots of love, and positive reviews, I highly doubt GN'R tour North America again after 2016 and sell out stadiums.
The rest of the world?
They're locked in for life.
