But isn't Tommy a Guns N' Roses fan?  He should know that they always go on late.  Axl goes by his own clock, it's rock n' roll, why go to the show knowing they will go on late and then bitch about it.  If he doesn't like it.....   16

Just joking.

This sucks for the rest of the band since it puts them in a really shitty spot, even worse when their safety and/or that of the fans starts to become jeopardised.

Shame if this derails the whole thing, since I thought up until recently things were going pretty well overall.  Sure there are some aspects of this lineup I personally don't like but it seemed like generally they were finally hitting their straps.  Plus Axl was sounding very good too and seemed to be in a reasonably positive place.

Ahh the mysteries of the GN'R circus, you gotta love it's overall entertainment value.  14

Stinson to quit Guns N' Roses?

Guns N' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson is considering his future with the band after a catastrophic show in Dublin tonight during which the group left the stage for almost 45 minutes at the behest of frontman Axl Rose.

Sputnikmusic witnessed Stinson in a heated argument with road manager Del James following the show, which saw the Los Angeles band take to the stage an hour and a half late before leaving after just four songs.

Frontman Axl Rose had threatened to leave when a plastic bottle was thrown on stage at the beginning of 'Welcome to the Jungle,' and stormed off stage when a second was thrown at the conclusion of 'Mr. Brownstone.'

Stinson was heard to shout: "That's my fucking family up there and he put us in danger again.

"He can't keep doing this. Nothing happened this time, but next time we might not be so lucky.

"This has to stop."

The band returned to stage after a long hiatus, during which a third of the paying audience left, and performed almost a full set. They finally wrapped up at 1am, an hour and half later than the venue's scheduled curfew.

You shouldn't throw shit at the stage ever, that is just lame.  Although I can see how an extended wait could force some people to vent their spleen when the band finally gets there.

Great review, glad you had a good time.  Seems like you were in a great spot too.

Yeah I will go along to the Perth one.  Will be interesting since I don't believe they have ever hosted a concert at that venue before and it's in the middle of nowhere, it's a semi industrial / rural area.

Hopefully one of my mates will drive otherwise I have no idea on getting there and back.  Plus Perth public transport sucks so if Axl gets up to his usual tricks there is a good chance that the trains will have stopped before the concert finishes.

I reckon the Townsville one would be a great location - something very different.

Problem for Axl is he could be telling the truth but due to his past form most are unlikely to believe him.  It's like the boy who cried wolf story.

Not sure if there is much else he can do other than get on with things.  People's perception is their reality.  The only way that perception will change for a lot of people (critics, general public, some fans etc) is by displaying a consistent change in the pattern of behaviour regarding these type of things. He also needs an internal locus of control mindset.

Yeah it's fucked that he can tell the truth these days and most people won't believe him.  Unfortunately that's where he finds himself at, there is no way to change it other than moving forward with good intentions.

Ok if it's like The Sun then I will take it as being that probably about 5% of what they said may have a hint of accuracy to it.

Seriously is that article true?  It wouldn't surprise me that everybody walks around on egg shells and is too scared to wake the sleeping beast even if it means going on late.

But sacking the entire crew - surely that can't be accurate???

If it is true - lol.  I'm past being outtraged about this stuff I just think it's highly entertaining now.

I see they have added a Perth date now - but it's not in the city it's down south about 40 or 50KM south of Perth at the Kwinana Motorplex (Mulletplex).  WTF?

That's heavy bogan country down there!!!!  It's a fair hike with fuck all easy public transport down there either.  I have never heard of them having a big name concert gig down there before either???

Read on another site that the reason for no Brisbane or Melbourne gig was the contract with the V8's in Sydney specifically excluded them playing those cities.

Fergie is certainly not the most beautiful girl in the world but she does have a certain sex appeal about her.
