Not easy to hear him on the two first vids. Thunderstruck though shows what we can expect. Massive rendering by Axl.

At this point I'm not just expecting him to fill Scott and Johnson's shoes, I think he'll bring the AC/DC songs to a whole another level. If he comes out on the tour singing like that, both critics and fans alike have to simply bow down. The best singer in rock has arrived.

Lol Tottenham, knew they'd bottle it.

Congrats Leicester.

Much better ep than the first, but still no Littlefinger. Best character is getting neglected.
Last scene was well shot, good they got to it early. I didn't know about the Bolton stuff so that was a nice surprise. Dog thing was a bit over the top perhaps. Sansa was a waste of 5 minutes.
Jonathan Pryce character needs to die, now.

At this point they might as well cater to the fanbase and just focus on Jon, Dany, Kings Landing & Tyrion...4 threads to follow would work much better in the HBO format than the 10 or more they are currently trying to juggle

Agree a lot with this. Episodes end up being a patchwork of 4 or 5 different threads, some of them picked up from several shows ago, and with little relation to each other. Instead of a show it feels more like multiple mini shows.

That sounds so badass and true to Brian Johnson. If their fans can't get behind this they're being unreasonable.

The media are sucking the cocks of far worse characters than Axl Rose. It's not about that at all. It's because he hates the media. If he had played nice with them he could murder puppies like the rest and still get a good review.

^ That's about as good a rundown of the story you're going to get.

In hindsight Keith Richards was right about don't leave the band. Only it was actually Axl who ended up leaving the band, provoking Slash's ego to the point where he just said fuck it. I guess we could say the paranoia and yes men atmosphere got the best of him. His intention was good, but the tact fateful.

The break is very abrupt. One month he's making a promo video for Coachella, the next he's out. Now he's melting down on social media, so it wasn't by choice. That leaves us with S&D wanting him out, for personal reasons since Melissa is still there, or a fall out with Axl Rose. All suddenly appearing, at least from his point of view, at the conclusion of the reunion deals. Slash and Duff having a personality clash with a guy who's managed to stay on Axl Rose's good side for 15 years, or Axl Rose throwing those 15 years down the road, something I think would require a sense of betrayal. Which is more likely?

As always things happen fast in this band, and truth is hard to come by.

Great interview questions James - was wondering as I was reading it who had come up with the kind of questions for once that fans would be interested in.
Such a shame that those Axl forum chats didn't attract this kind of caliber of question instead of the garbage that was put to him...

Indeed. One big wasted opportunity.

It's still strange to think back on. The reclusive with a big R came to the forums to talk about anyone and anything. If he had been smarter he would have set up a deal with one of the forum admins to do his own tailored interview. It's what he always resented the media for, spinning his words against him. That wouldn't have happened in such a case. He could have made his side heard, talking about only the subjects he wanted, and the fans would get a real juicy interview.

It's nice now, but I drove through a snow storm myself on Saturday. The town on the other side of the hills was dry and sunny. 14

Sure. But reports of Axl's temper are voluminous.

Now, he seems unperturbed. Just rolling with it.

The fact that they stroke his ego helps, obviously.

Getting into old age also takes some of the edge off. No doubt the beast is still there, but it's harder to wake from its slumber.
