Granted the sound is not great, but I hear mostly noodling here. The bends aren't where they are supposed to, or not at all. Reminds me of Bumble playing the Nightrain solo, maybe even Bucket when he was bored playing Madagascar and started screwing around.
And that solo should be perfect for Slash. It's done in his style. While I always loved the Robin version, it was the type of song I figured Slash would carry to new heights.
Wonder if Axl cares? Guy's a perfectionist and if it was me sitting up there I wouldn't be pleased, though obviosuly not mad either given the greater context.

Got to say I'm not really digging what Slash is doing to the Chinese solos, with the exception of CD (which I suppose he plays near verbatim). His Better and TIL solos don't come close to Robin. Nothing wrong with doing it your way, but you still have to hit the important notes.
Could be sound quality, could be lack of practice. Not feeling it at the moment though.

Doesn't fill you with a lot of hope, does it? Vis a vis other conflicts of a similar type around the world. Here I was thinking that shit had joined the ranks of the German RAF in history because the news isn't reporting it anymore. Guess not.

From the songs I've heard I think 9/4 was the better show for Axl. He was immense on Nightrain and Don't Cry. His Coma was also better.
Unfortunately Slash doesn't seem to know how to play Nightrain anymore.

I'm not sure how to post photos from Facebook here, but today I caught up with Smoking Guns, Otto, Buzzsaw, and previous forum members Bono and Russ. And I gotta say, what a great bunch of guys, Bono especially.
After a lot of shit that went down here a few years ago, it was great to see Russ chatting with Bono particularly, and it was great to see that we all share a common love for one thing - Guns N' Fucking Roses!

I was thinking last night during Slash's TIL solo that it was best thing I've heard from him since he left GNR, and Better was the best song he's featured on. That's just me.
Axl always brought it out of Slash. Looks like it works the other way too.
