Yeah I agree. I never saw Days of Thunder but I do want to. I never liked his over the top action movies, more about the cheesy screenplays & he's always 'the best'  (Cocktail, Top Gun, Days Of Thunder etc).

Top Guns totally cheesy, but if you know that going in its a fun watch. Definitely a mid-80s movie. Yeah, he's probably trying to get about 3 more MI films done. He's gotta be 55 I'd guess, thats getting up there.

Exactly.  But no one is saying Brady won't be inducted his first year.  We still have people who think they're living in a dictatorship and Trump will  be in office come January 21st.  They can't tell you how we're in a dictatorship or how they've been affected, but they'll howl really really loud.

The only people I see who seriously believe trumps staying in office are the quack OAN folks.  SG was back for a minute & sadly seemed he drifted close into that territory. It seems a fairly large percent of the population tho, 10-20%, maybe not but they sure are vocal (and stupid) and it seems upwards of that, which, in itself is scary.

With that said tho, no, he won't remain in office. BTW it ends in 'armed removal from office' (tresspassing), so no he won't stay in the WH under any circumstance.  I wouldn't put it past him to do something stupid like bomb Iran the day before and leave Biden to clean up the mess. Or try to claim he stays in office due to war & civil unrest. Senate would just invoke the 25th ammendment & remove him from office. Checks & balances are there for a reason.

Alien holds up really well. That's a great movie. I was never a huge fan but that might a leaped into my Top 20.  Also watched Top Gun, haha, so cheesy. Never liked it, still don't, but man, Tom Cruise makes some great fuckin blockbusters. The guy brings in bank. Top Gun 2 does look pretty good imho, I'm sure its still that Tom Cruise corny but the plane effects & scenery could be beautiful in a theater.

Yeah, although I think Frank Reichs a good coach, he's only in his 2nd year I think and last year lost Luck unexpectedly. I dunno where Brees stands on the injury, gotta be painful but he's had several weeks off so wasn't sure if he'd be fresh or what. I think this may be Rivers final year, I'm guessing he knows his body just can't do it anymore, ashame I always respected his fierce competitiveness and he was underrated his years in small market San Diego. I'm guessing Indy trades for Carson Wentz and the only team that'd make sense for Rivers imho is Washington, to bring in an extra veteran and look for a QB down the line, but a win-now mentality for next year. Not sure Rivers wants to pick up & move again, its gotta kinda suck being a bit of a journeyman lifestyle when your older, prolly has kids & family and just wants to retire. That or await an injury to a team next year mid-season and join then.

I haven't watched other teams to have a truly informed opinion but

AFC: Bills or Chiefs
NFC: Bucs or Packers

I hope the Packers can somehow get Aaron a second Lombardi but the AFC seems to have them outmatched.

Pretty good assessment. Don't rule out Saints/Brees, they could do some damage but hard to argue against Brady in the playoffs.  Derrick Henry has been incredible, could be a force and yeah overall the AFC has the better teams.

OH SNAP!
https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexand … 73873a4330

Look at this...the man you voted for is deeply in debt. The man who was running the economy just oh so swell while racking up enormous debt...hmm...I wonder how that could be...

So what is he? A financial genius? Is he the man that brought us our 'greatest standard of living' as you have said before or is he unsuccessful business man?

Seems like you're the one experiencing cognitive dissonance to me.

And you call me special?

He's also been milking the government the last 4 years by both funneling funds to ancillary family businesses like Kushner & the kids wives tangible businesses (Lara trumps companies etc). Also however, trump DC Hotel has been sold out by sketchy foreign entities. Sold Out. (somewhat fraudulently). Reports of ambassadors renting 'entire wings', the ballroom for $300 grand a night and isn't used at all or to a small party. He's been getting probably a million a week +, thats 500 million a year from it.

Except, they're not really interested in the hotel, and it won't 'sell out' once he leaves. It's all pay to play & favors. So when he's no longer in power, they won't be renting it at that volume, and he goes straight into debt on it & forecloses. They gravy trains ending.

You got me Mitch!  In a discussion specifically about the $600 payout you started, I was unaware of the PPP program. I don’t know how the two topics are related, but there’s a reason you’re known as the special one here.

Then again, if you were successful you wouldn’t need a business loan. I guess you “deserve” it.

You don’t know how they are related?! Successful people don’t take out loans?!

Wtf?!

It seems to be you need to learn what’s all in the stimulus package. You also need to learn how the PPP program works and what it’s for...

You need to learn a lot it seems.

Your accountant should and will advise you take the free money that will be forgiven. You don’t have to take the PPP loan. You will because if everyone else is why shouldn’t you?

The free money that wasn't supported by actual tax dollars & instead done thru increasing the national debt & printing new money?  Wouldn't that devalue the dollar?  How will we stand against China & the Yuan in 3-5 years with a lessened dollar value?

Thanks, I'll check it out. Saw it on there & considered watching it, it's one of the few Batmans I haven't seen. Heard mixed things about Affleck in it. Mostly seemed he was good in it, just didn't want a 3 installment reboot of him as it. Will prolly watch this weekend at some point if I can.

I don't tend to go out all that often at night due to advancing age and boringness anyway but psychologically it makes a real difference knowing it's illegal to even go for a walk or something in the eventing. Just messes with your head a bit when you've always lived a certain way.

I agree with this 100%.  I don't really 'go out' anymore, however, just having the option is nice. Or, maybe step out with friends or a happy hour once every 2 or 3 months. Also, since there's nothing to do, I barely call or hear from friends much, just reading FB timelines is like my new social norm. Its been a tough year. I was exercising a good amount, running & biking, until around November mostly got too cold to do it very much.

Thanks tho for the wishes, and best of the new year to you & everyone here!
