The source is TMZ (who tend to be a bunch of little bitches) but FWIW here is the article:
Axl Rose has allegedly been hogging some of Guns 'N Roses' profits -- and now one company says it's looking to get its hands on his money, honey.
Front Line Management claims it was hired to be Axl's personal manager in 2008 -- and was promised a 15% cut of all the cash Guns N' Roses raked in ... but never got a penny.
In the lawsuit, filed in L.A County Superior Court, Front Line claims the band made in excess of $12,470,000 while performing throughout Asia, Canada and South America.
The company says it wants at least $1,870,500.
Calls to Axl's people have not been returned.

Intersting. BLS-Pride has ate his words. I like the song. The beginning of the chours is a straight rip off of another song's hook melody but I can't name it now. It will come to me.
For some reason this song reminds me of paradise city at times. That bit you are referring to BLS reminds me of "Just an urchin livin under the street...etc" albeit slowed right down.
Same with the intro riff - you can sing the complete intro to Paradise City perfectly (from about the 10 sec mark when the stuttering guitar effect comes in) and right when you finish Fergie's voice kicks in.
Maybe I just have Guns too much on my brain 
In addition to sounding like Pink, Fergie also sounds like Shirley Manson from Garbage at times.

I really like it, Fergie has a great rock voice!! I would expect this song to do well if it released as a single, it's very catchy and her vocals remind me of Pink at times. I would expect it might appeal to quite a large demographic not just hard rock and Slash fans.

If it was Axl that somehow caused legal problems regarding it then I have to say I don't really blame him. I presume he is just squaring up the ledger to some degree by giving Slash a taste of his own medicine.
Hmm is that right that the Back to Cali was already being thrown in. That sucks, he should put something else in then too. I'm sure he has heaps of shit he could throw in there.

I have just been bought Steig Larsson's trilogy of books and have only just opened the first one "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".

Yeah when I read my I email I also thought it was great!!! I'll take a new song over the Paradise City shit any day!
So do we speculate and say the legal reasons are GN'R/Axl related?
