To Baz "Love Is A Bitchslap" is epic.
I wouldn't take ANYTHING that guy says too seriously.

Never liked Smith's films, but this sounds interesting.

Who cares...
She could've busted like a grape after being hit by a Mack truck, and I wouldn't give a fuck.

The Mummy 3 will also be DOA.
Just watch. TDK will be #1 for a 3rd week. I say The Mummy opens #3 with around $20-25mil.

I'm expecting something in-between Oh My God & Chinese Democracy with Shackler's Revenge.

I'm not trying to be on the Ledger bandwagon or anything, but I think he totally owned it as the Joker. His sadistic portrayal completely trumped Nicholson's goofy portrayal. Nothing against Nicholson or anything, but every character he plays is the same. There is one thing that disappointed me tho.

We were discussing that same point last week and here's what we all came up with;
Hidden Text:As for X-Files, we're discussing it in a different thread. I liked it alot but I think they should've though twice (actually, three or four times) about opening so close to TDK.
It also didn't help Chris Carter pulled an Axl and kept the whole thing so fuckin' secretive.
People didn't even know what they were going to see. Thus the reason the only minimal B.O. they did make was from the diehard X-Philes.

Oh i'm sure. My local theater had it in two screens... i'm sure it'll be dropped to one next week.

Sadly true. Although most fans are saying it's great. It has a really small film to it, and it's made FOR the fans only, not casual audiences.
Fox claims that they were only expecting a $10-15mil opening. They got $10.2mil and 4th place. Still kind of ouch considering Fight The Future was a big hit.

I also fell off after Fight The Future. I went into Season 6 an avid viewer like always, and then when they killed off the syndicate I was just... stunned. I kind of bounched around after that, then ironically started watching regularly again when I found out Mulder was leaving and being replaced by Robert Patrick. I just kept watching it after that, but later caught up with Season 6/7 on DVD and ummm... was not impressed.
Duchovny started trying to play everything like a comedy, and totally took you out of some episodes. When Patrick came in, it at least regained it's seriousness again.
