Yeah, Duff likely has a ton of money since he mainly went to college to learn about investment. As far as money from songwriting, Axl and Izzy clearly made the bulk from that, and still do to this day. As far as post GNR careers go, Slash made the most money because he never really stopped working and touring.

Interesting line of thinking, although I don't necessarily agree. When you look back at the time since before Libertad's release, all the band members were talking about the record. Even talked about it on their website during the making of the record. They clearly had big plans for the record. The media just didn't latch on to it, and the album had some decent reviews, but nothing that really made people want to go out and buy it.
If the band had done little to no promo for it, I would agree that they were intentionally veering away from mainstream.

Me too. There's nothing happening on the CD front and we're approaching November.
Only thing we are getting this year from Axl is the Baz songs.
Oh well, the upcoming Eagles album is supposed to be incredible. That should keep music lovers happy until the next good album comes out.

Halle wasn't a child star, but she was in the pageant world as a teen. Natalie Portman was a child actress and she is about as classy as it gets.
I agree that a large percentage of child stars do fuck things up, but it cant all be blamed on parents. They must take responsibility themselves. The main topic of this thread(Lohan) never even had any pressure. Fame and money was handed to her on a silver platter for nothing, and no big things were expected of her. Imagine being a 12 year old girl(Portman), and you are so good in your first performance people are saying you are the next Audrey Hepburn. Talk about pressure. She never allowed the "dark side" to take over her life. She actually walked away from the spotlight for a few years to go to college.

Only thing similar I have seen is at a horror forum I am a member of. They have this "bank", and each time you post, you get a credit. Start a thread, you get 5 credits. This goes into your "bank account", and when you get a decent amount of points, you can buy items with your points in their store. They have some DVDs, posters, shirts,etc.

I also dont buy the excuse as to why they turned out that way. Halle Berry didn't have a great life before she was famous, and was actually beat up by a boyfriend so bad she is almost completely deaf in one ear. I never seen her spreading her legs in clubs while snorting a mountain of coke.
