Surely the promoters would not agree to it if they thought it was a money loser.
I'm sure the bean counters did their homework. But from where I'm sitting, it seems risky. This is 2016, not 1991.

I gotta say, I love the naming of the tour. Very Eagles to go that route. VERY Eagles. Playing on their own words.
But...
I think they MIGHT be over-shooting this. I mean, think Toronto right off the bat. Rogers Centre right off the bat, is an old school baseball dome (not many of those left). Like Neemo said it's like 50,000+ capacity. Now in Canada, they'll probably do well. Isn't it the only Canada show? I might've missed it.
But to do THIS MANY STADIUMS... umm... I don't know man. They weren't this much of a stadium act WITH METALLICA on the bill -- in BOTH their heydays. This might be a hard sell in 2016.
I for one can attest, I can only afford so much to be at the Orlando show. I have a price limit myself. If it was AFD 5 (Money is no object), or even just Izzy being there, but 2014 Guns + Slash... only so much i'm gonna pay. If it's reasonable (even double normal rates), i'm fuckin' there. But triple? Ehh...
I'm still curious to see what Axl vocally is gonna be. I have no doubt the band will be slammin'
I agree. It sure is a quite a bit or risk IMO.

Back around 2008 I developed a health issue. I had spent months in bed suffering. Of course along with the illness came financial stress and all the other goodies that come with it.
One day, as I laid in bed struggling to breathe I had a thought. Not sure where it came from, but I realized that everything had a beginning and everything had an end. Just that simple realization was incredibly comforting. I knew that eventually my suffering would end. While it didn't happen immediately, it did end and I returned to my life as I had known it.
Everything has a begining, and everything has an end. Hang in there.

Think about this...sometime late tonight or tomorrow we'll be seeing pictures/video of Slash/Axl/Duff (and hopefully the entire original 5) on stage together.

The marketing efforts this week have been a good start, but they will need to ramp it up going forward if they want to have really big crowds at all of those stadiums. Can't help but also think a lot is riding on the early gigs. If Axl shows up in a timely manner for Vegas/Coachella and his voice is in good shape, I think a lot more of the general audience might be interested in maybe seeing the tour when it comes to their town.
There is a night/day difference in how this marketing is being handled IMO (Unlike Axl's last 15 years.) I think they'll do fine in that department. The rest is up to Axl.

Fixed first page and sorted all the dates. This is a big fucking tour. It'd be crazy if they're selling these stadiums out.
If they seriously went from supposedly struggling to sell put arenas in the US to selling out AT&T stadium it really would be "Not in this lifetime".
I guess they've done their homework, but I still think they're on crack.
