To be honest, this is the last thing i would have expected just a few months ago. Gawd please let it be true.

The girl who cuts my hair just told me that there is a new single in the works. Apparently it's a rework of the 2002 demo "My Favorite Pillow."

Slash is going to replace Bumble's parts, who originally redid Bucket's work on this demo, whom I'm told originally built upon a riff that Slash recorded for Axl back in '95, which was the inspiration for MFP in the first place.

Thanks for posting these smile I take this as confirmation from Guns that nothing has changed in regards to their plans, but I'm guessing you interpret it as the reunion talks being full steam ahead behind the scenes 19

Comments from Axl/GnR have no sub-flooring. Therefore, No News = No News.

We're on the verge of what appears to be a classic GnR reunion. The idea of Robin returning is just....fer Chrissake man, c'mon.

I don't get it. How is Carson ahead of Trump in the polls? What is the draw?

The primaries are generally more rigid, anti-establishment conservatives who shun status quo candidates. The previous election was pretty much the same thing, Bachman, Perry etc, all had their moment in the sun, before the party finally picked Romney. This time around was the same story, except that Trump had tremendous staying power. Carson now moves into the top spot for a while, before eventually fading away as well. I don't expect Trump or Carson to be serious contenders at all.

What's left is Rubio, Bush and Kasich as more realistic options for the GOP candidate. Bush apparently is running out of money and supporters. Kasich despite his moderate approach (he's not that moderate) will be seen as RINO by the base. Which leaves Rubio, who IMO is completely not ready for prime time. Yes he's good at talking points to the base, but he's inexperienced, poor off the cuff, often nervous and Hillary would eat his lunch in a debate. I can see him in a Veep spot, but no way as POTUS material.

I do suspect the GOP will want Rubio because they feel he appeals to Latins. But the Republicans forget that Cubans and Mexicans aren't the same thing. Likewise, if Hillary picks Castro as her Veep, then she'll lock up the Latin vote (which already trends left to begin with) for sure.

All in all, as you said, it's a very weak field. The GOP has created this problem though. They catered to fringe ideologues, hyper religious constituents, gun fanatics etc and now must answer to their new bosses. This leaves no room for a moderate candidate, and why the GOP despise anybody they suspect may not hold dear their beliefs on abortion, religion, guns, middle east policy, privatization and so on.

That's what I'm lead to believe.

I know my initial response after re-opening the forum was kind of vague, but it took me 5-6 hours to upgrade our forum software and re-apply all of our modifications, so I was kinda burnt out by the end.... and then we were bombarded with 200+ spam accounts sad

....

This is quite a bit of information you're volunteering here. Not sure how safe this is to convey this all publicly. But you know better than I do.

I'd imagine if somebody were to hack an anonymous profile, they'd pick one that was not in use first. Otherwise flags would go up, and the true user would report it to a Moderator. The hacker could do a test run with a smiley, or small comment, and then proceed with more nefarious actions if they went undetected. However it would be quite the coincidence to pick an unused account that just happened to belong to Axl Rose. Likewise, as you said, if the intentions were malicious why not just pick a Moderator or Admin profile instead? You'd get keys to all kinds of goodies then.

As for the spam accounts registering after the fact, it was probably connected. I have (and currently) run a forum with similar series of events. In my case it may be a dormant spam account, registered but never posted. Then one day it comes to life (so to speak) and may post something rather innocuous. If nothing happens after the initial post the spam begins and I have an onslaught of new registrants, all of which are spambots from Eastern Europe.

I had to close my forum, and turn off registrations at one point too. I have since put measures in place to combat this and reopened registrations.

Still though, what kind of coincidence is it that it was Dexter's account, replying directly to one of my smarmy comments about Axl? That wouldn't make sense for a spambot testing the waters. A spambot would post something completely random. There was human thought behind that response to me.

Either way, I'm wearing a condom from now on when I post, and I suggest the rest of you weirdos follow suit.

When I have some time, I'll got over that electoral vote in that article. I disagree with it for a few different reasons....mainly that the path to 270 is much easier for Hillary than any Republican. She's got at least 215-220 walking in the door.
