I haven't been following the band that closely these last few years but I follow Duff on twitter and he posted this picture.  A setlist with a chunk of "Duff" songs in the middle.

Sounded OK to me, but the ending got a little messed up.   Its a live show, it'll happen, right?

I think its great Axl is getting recognized here.    Love him or hate him, agree or disagree with the direction he took GnR,  diss him for failing to release his music in a timely manner.. but the man is a living legend and at over 50 can still put on a great show.     Sure, his pipes aren't what they were when he was 28, but most singers decline this way as they age.

This looks like it will be pretty good.    Good that the band is releasing something.

I shared "Going Down" with a few friends and didn't get a very favorable response, mainly because of Tommy on lead vocals. A "new" GNR song, you really want to hear Axl prominently.

With that said, Axl can be heard pretty clearly, but certainly in a supporting role. And I have warmed up to the song itself with repeated listens. Not sure if Axl would join in for a live version of the song.

Thanks, this is the first I've heard of this, but again been way out of the loop.

Different than anything GnR has done in the past for sure.     But not uncommon for someone else to take lead vocals, its happened a lot on the UYI albums and Spaghetti Incident.

My fav songs are on Kill Em All... Whiplash, Seek & Destroy, Hit the Lights.     But I enjoy it all.

If you want to quit.. go cold turkey.   Just stop.  Refuse to let yourself smoke again.   It works.

Look up a guy on youtube named Joel Spitzer.   He has incredible insight to quitting smoking.

I'm so out of the loop..  Going Down?   Did I miss new songs?

Haven't been active or even lurking on the boards much the last few years.   Not because I stopped loving GnR, but it was time to move on from the debates that got taken way too seriously and other things in life became a bigger priority.

I'm not expecting much new, but seeing the band in any incarnation with any setlist will be good for me because its been so long..    Looks like its the same lineup since DJ Ashba joined?

You were Jim Ziggydadis or something right? With a Finck/Bubbles avatar? Welcome back.

Yeah, still the nostalgia act in reality, though they still keep to that "new music on the horizon" in theory.

We'll see, but people ain't getting their hopes up for much new stuff.

I couldn't find my old account.

I'm fine with it either way, was just wondering.    Haven't seen them since 2006.   Wanted to see them last time they came to the HR, but didn't work out.    This time I'm not going to miss out.

Thanks.

Hi, old member from way back.   Live in Vegas and saw the billboard for this today.

Is GNR still pretty much a nostalgia act or are they doing something new?

Either way, should be fun.    Haven't seen the band in some years.
