Is that enough? The fucking guy is productive, and I think Uncle Axl would benefit from having a guy like that in his ear. If he's just not going to write or record new music anymore, that's fine.. I'm all for making the music in your heart, and not forcing it. That just produces garbage, IMO...
If that's the case, So be it. But, for fucking shit's sake, Mr. Rose, just release the CD sessions shit that's locked away. Quit fucking tinkering with the shit and let it go. There shouldn't be any worries left as far as tarnishing some legacy.. That ship has sailed.
If you still DO wanna make music.. With or without the musicians you currently have on the payroll, give Trent a buzz. He's clearly a dude that knows how to get stuff done, and harness creativity at an astounding level. Drop the ego, and let the man guide you along your path.. Free of all of the things that are holding you back.
I have no doubt the results would floor everyone. Regardless of genre.
Axl and Trent are n`t exactly best buddies. I don`t think Trent would agree to work with Axl even if Axl called him.

Listened to the album and I`m underwhelmed it`s not what I expected. Copy of A, Came Haunted Back and Everything are duds not my fave NIN album. I guess Trent has run out of good ideas.

Just finished listening to the album and I have to say it`s as mediocre as it can get while it has some highlights, overall as a cohesive album. it`s weak, old, tired, rehashed mashup of Guns N`Roses, AC/DC, Metallica and Pantera. This isn`t the album I will ever consider to give a second listen and sure as hell can`t be arsed to review it track by track.This band should go out of their comfort zone and try to evolve their sound, update it, experiment bit. Right at the bottom of their discography, one of their worst. They peaked with City of Evil and self tittled it`s been downhill since. Two stars.

Axl should write better lyrics and a chorus for Silkworms, mix and produce it properly, add guitars, change it`s name and put it on next album, it has potential to be a kickass, in your face, aggressive Industrial rocker.

He plays guitar just fine, and happens to wear his rock n roll influences on his sleeve, because *surprise*.... he's in a rock band!
Who would've thought, that having an over the top rock n roll image from being in a rock band would be considered a bad thing?He may not be Slash or Ace level, but he's put out enough music in SixxAM that showcases some talented tasteful guitar playing, and the few times I've seen him live with GN'R, I've never seen him make any mistakes. So I don't know where this "he can't play guitar" comes from. But you're probably just saying that because you don't like him.
That's fine if you don't like him, but your opinions aren't facts.And given Axl's wardrobe has been goofy as hell too, singling DJ out for how he dresses is just pointless.
I don`t single him out for his outfit, like I said above, I single him out for his lack of skills and Better with him on lead is vital eveidence of my opinion on him. He should n`t be lead guitarist in bands of high caliber such as GNR. It`s a travesty that a guitarist like Richard Fortus stands in Ashba`s shadow and is a third guitarist it`s not fair. Actually, I would love to hear GNR album with Richard on lead. P.S. this discussion sounds like beating a dead horse apparently nothing will come out of it and none of us gonna change our opinions. To each his own.

I would n`t give two shits what he wears ( though his image and outfit are goofy as shit for someone who`s a lead guitarist of classic Heavy Rock band and most of all, for a grown up man in his 40`s ) if he could play guitar but he can`t, he`s a below average player with horrendous tone and sound. Difference between him and Brian ( Buckethead ) is, Bucket can play guitar, he`s a real character, unique player Ashba is just a phony Slash and Ace Frehley wannabe.
