And if every member was brought back that people have been theorizing here for the last month,
GNR would have more members than Earth, Wind and Fire.
:haha::haha:
and it's nice to see someone capable of seeing the other person's point while maintaining his own

CD is the real stumbler for a reunion at the moment. it would be silly to reunite and not release it. So unless they could come to some compromise..like record some additional parts with the reunion guys and release it as a massive set - I think CD really needs to happen first.
was it in '07 that axl was spotted with sorum and then gilby another time? and then rumors about slash and axl at the same hotel. plus we already know slash went to axl's house that time.
somewhere in that time frame the discussion popped up about a reunion and i think i said soemthing similar to your post and still think the same way.........
a partial reunion including some of the new members and some of the old with slash re-recording finck's parts on cd.
not saying that is gonna happen just saying that i wouldn't mind it if it did

Promo ideas involving a reunion when you're trying to pimp 4 albums of the new band??
Azoff is there working on "Axl's project" Not a reunion deal, which as I said before, would
need its own team of managers and lawyers to get off the ground.Come on, guys... How can this even be a logical opition. Seriously.
And this arguement is OLD.
again the circumstances are different
and i agree that it is a crazy niotion but if axl cant get bucket and finck back, the two most important contributers of the project are potentially gone. this is as good a chance at a reunion as they are gonna get unless they do it after the project fails which gnr/managment/label will do anything to avoid due to the money invested.

i disagree about it being the same old reunion scenario
axl's project is potenteially done
except for the release which brings any and all business and promo ideas to the table, all which require honest consideration

if i could clarify something in hopes of both a better understanding as to how you guys feel and to further eccentuate the variety of thoughts by asking this...............
what kind of reunion are we all thinking when we use the term?
there's reuniting for one big show like VMA's or something like that.
or there is a reunion tour
or there is reuniting as band and putting out records

Bucket:
yes i am glad bucket was in gnr. he clearly had the most to offer the project that i feel will bring us hours of listening pleasure when it is released. whether us bucket fans want to admit it or not, bucket was a nobody before he joined gnr. yes, he could have put out more albums had he not joined gnr but nobody would have known to listen to them.
The rest of the past members (not including finck):
could give or take
Robin Finck:
yes i am glad finck was in gnr. has stayed active with both NIN and GNR over the past several years so he's gotten plenty exposure and money (i am assuming he will appear on relased gnr music sooner than later). he has contributed some soulful music to the leaks. will make cd better. IMO robin is still open to touring with gnr when he is finished with nin.
some of you guys forget that these are adults we are talking about . they are responsible for their own decisions. if their careers are being wasted it is noboidy's fault but their own (not cd's).

it's a good broad spectrum of personalities and all of us competent in our own way
it's a good blend of contributing fodder
#2129 Re: Guns N' Roses » Your opinion on this remark from another poster at another forum » 895 weeks ago
pretty stupid if you ask me
rock band would not take a "throw-away song". it's hard enough for a brand new song as it is to earn it's spot on the list. this song will be great and that's not mindless optimism.
gnr won't make money off of a single alone and i am guessing axl isn't getting paid a ton of money for one song on rock band so common sense would say that they are promoting the album and/or another tour. i don't know if one song on a video game will help them sell seats for a third tour without an album. if anything the fact that their two most relevant guitarists are awol means that they are less likely to tour sooner than later. if anything, the album is coming but the lineup situation is holding up the album. that is if you beleive what axl said on the website.
as far as dizzy - i am already tired of reading about his band. mysteron said they are trying to get the album out this year. russ said it's on uni's release list. nothing official yet so the earliest we woulsd see it is november. what the fuck difference does it make that dizzy is plying a couple of shows in october????????

i don't think vai would be willing to be number 2 which is what he would be in gnr. he and axl could come up with some great songs though.
vai could do any re-recording in less than a day and be ready for the tour as is. he is one of the most educated guitarists that i know of.
unfortunately what gnr needs right now is the people that did the majority of writing CD in the band to showcase them to the world.
