I've seen her sextape. She's not that talented in the bedroom, either.

Beat me to it. Pretty boring.

"Gisselle, Mrs Bumblefoot never gets angry, we've been together longer than you've been alive and our connection is deeper than you can truly know. *I* think the story is presented dishonestly and it's disrespectful to the families of bandmembers, and I'm bringing it up 1) because they deserve to be respected and defended, 2) a lot of fans feel that access is being granted to people that haven't earned it - by that I mean standing loyally by the band for years, buying a ticket, waiting on sore feet for hours and hours, cheering until they have no voice left, staying til the end and trying to find a way home after public transportation has been shut down... and doing it again the next time we're in town. I have nothing against 'the models', they were offered a fun night out and they deserve equal treatment from the band that any person at the show should get. But 'the band' did not request it, this kinda stuff comes from other people that are offering a good time by whatever means they have, and that's fine. I just feel the need to speak up on behalf our families & the fans, because they're respected & I don't want them feeling like they're not."

The best answers, as always, from Ron.

I was really wondering about this. I couldn't imagine the Missus would be too thrilled about such a request.

Maybe they want them backstage after the concert as they are trying to help Jarmo finally get laid.

Even with that set up he couldn't get any tail...

There was a change when Buckethead left. No matter how great 2006 was, it still felt incomplete. And I'm sure some people felt cheated.  Why? because people were invested and excited about the 2002 band. The people who were there connected to THAT band. And yes, it was a band. It had it's own weird, unique look, with a real promise for the future. Bucket was a big part of that. Something died when he left.

I've always thought this. I was beyond pumped for that version of GNR.

#2267 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 731 weeks ago

Doesn't MYGNR get much more activity now though? HTGTH used to be VERY busy back in the day. It's dead as shit now compared to back then.

HTGTH "wins" because it won over Axl and gets his support. It will never go out of business unless Jarmo decides to get a life, or a GF, neither of which will ever happen.

MYGNR is running a deficit, sucking money out of the admin's pocket, an admin who is hardly ever on the board and doesn't seem to care about GnR anymore. That being said pulling the plug is extremely difficult to do, even if you are no longer interested. It's your work, your time, your creation...there is just that weird attachment to a site, even if you don't give two fucks about it anymore. Letting go is hard. But man if your losing money every month, enough to make a nice car payment, at some point you've got to make a decision.

If Eric really wanted to keep it alive he'd ask for a specific amount of money. But I think the amount he requires EACH MONTH would probably grow old after a while to board members. It would be one thing to ask for money once a year like NPR, lol, people are fine with that. I asked for money for my board to move and host fees, and people kicked down some money, some really shocked me with how much they donated. But if I was asking for money every month, I can't see that working for too long.

I'm curious to see what happens. I'm also curious to see where all those fuckers go. I do feel like the "golden age" of the GNR boards peaked a few years ago when CD came out.

It's real, that's Axl without a doubt. Just sounds like backing vocals to a song if you ask me.

#2269 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 731 weeks ago

Last time when this went down, I talked to Subs and was rather shocked at how short they were every month. Personally I would never even consider taking on a site with a limited audience that hemorrhaged money like that (Ironically stupid Madison was under the impression that Eric was profiting off the site with nothing going to her.) Subs was a nice guy though and seemed to have a plan to tweak the board which would eventually increase revenue to close the gap. I appreciated his plan, but felt it was naive, and a great way to flush money down the toilet until he realized it would not work.

It seemed like Eric pulled the rug out from under Subs and ran with the "anonymous donor" instead. Now it seems that has come back to spank him on the butt.

I'd imagine without another infusion of cash that Eric will eventually let it go.
