Its on the verge of platinum here after its third month since release. Technically its not a bomb. It was just unable to sustain its initial momentum. I think one of the things that makes it so glaring is how huge the promo behind it was. It went from being everywhere to being nowhere.
Okay bomb was a bit harsh. It bombed in a similiar way to CD i.e. it sold well below expectations. One problem is Get Off Your Boots was a poor first single. It needs a new single to make it popular again and revitalise this album ala what M.I.A. did with Paper Planes.

I know what you mean, he does a god job, but under Qui Gon's guidance would Anakin still turn out evil? He'd have to die pretty early on or the original canon would've been disturbed, Obi-Wan talks about personally training him from practically the start.
Perhaps have him die in episode II. First half could be him with Anakin with him dying at the hands of Count Dooku but not being able to alert the Jedi to Dooku's existance as a sith lord. Then have the second half of the film be set ten years later. Could have been done had a lot of the useless undeeded crap was cut from Episode II.

I recently rewatched Episode 1 and wow just wow. The Lightsaber duel was fantastic. However that still doesn't change the fact I had to sit through almost two hours of boring crap before it. The pod race was just a big CGI crapfest and Jar Jar whilst sometimes ammusing really got in the way of a lot of scenes and ruined major sections of the movie. Kid anakins acting was horrible as was portmans as padme. I know Cristensen was slightly better in the next two films but not by much and Portman luckily improved a lot in II and III. There's a fan-edit of the film on torrent sites which apparently greatly improves the film by removing many aspects i.e. Jar Jar antics and cuts out uneccesary cringe-worthy dialogue. One thing to close with though: Liam Neeson playing Qui Gon Jinn was superb. I really wish his character hadn't been killed of in this movie just so we could see him again in the later episodes of the prequel trilogy.

It's my least favourite of the two because of the filler (namely the tracks James mentioned) however it is redeemed heavily by having my favourite UYI track's Estranged and Locomotive. If it didn't have those songs it would be a turd of a record IMO.

That stuff is killer. Hopefully someone recorded the whole show and it'll appear on the usual places soon.
