^ Nahh it's just coz I take photos of them instead of boring scenery or something. It was a day at the races, so I could have taken pictures of horses (but if you've seen one before you've seen em all). Girls on the other hand...well nobody gets bored of looking at photos of them now 
Besides nobody wants to see photos of just my ugly mug by itself!

I read the book, it wasn't too bad. As far as providing any great insights into Lonn and his life it doesn't really IMHO, it's quite superficial. It's more a collection of anecdotes etc as oppposed to providing some great insight into his life and experience. A classic example of this is throughout the book he mentions his wife and family and you learn that he split up with his wife. But never anywhere in the book does it tell you how and why they split up. Whilst it occurred during the times he writes about in the book he basically totally ignores it. I found that strange, particularly if its a book about his life.
As for the stories etc, they are not too bad. A classic one in there about Lars and what an arrogant little dick he was at one point.
Obviously some decent Guns ones in there too - although nothing too salascious.
It was a year or more ago when I read it so my memory is a bit scratchy on the details. I borrowed the book off a mate, but even if I had paid $$'s for it myself I still think it was a worthwhile read. Pretty light and easy reading.
I never heard of any of the original members commenting on it.

Something I found really interesting is that the label for the release is a joint thing between Geffen and Axl's company Black Frog.
How the hell did Uncle Axl swing that deal? Presumably there would not have been any legal reason why his comapny would have been given a look in on the action. I can only assume that part of the negotiations included a degree of blackmail/standoff tactics to the effect of "if you don't cut me in then I'll sit in the Malibu Hills for another 15 years".

Any body work out what the lyrics are changed to on the second last line - before "and you're out of time".
Also did anyone else notice in the intro at about 32 seconds where there is all the Chinese murmurings - somebody says "that's bullshit"?

Yeah I like it too, I think it's better than the leaks. Just seems to have been tidied up a bit and mixed better.

Cool it's been years since I have legally listened to a new GNR tune!
It doesn't sound as bassy over all as before and the vocals don't seem quite as buried in the mix. I think the drums in the beginning sound better - reminds me of the opening ceremony of the olympics. 
Definitely some new sounds in there and some guitar stuff more prominent too.
Just before the end of the song where he says "but we're out of time" it sounds like there is a new lyric before that?
