Cheers for posting.
I agree Neemo, you could be forgiven for thinking that they are gently trying to change the public perception of Axl and co.

^ That's a good point, people these days are really into the quality of their music/entertainment experience. I know here in Oz it almost appears standard that when people build a new home they seem to now have a purpose built "theatre room" ($$'s permitting). Big flat screen TV, quality sourround sound sound etc etc.
But all the "inventive" ideas that the record companies seem to come up with these days only seem to offer some type of inferior product with inferior sound quality to match.

By itself it is such a pathetically gay idea it astounds me.
If the memory chip was something they gave you when you physically bought something decent e.g. a CD or vinyl, the bands t-shirt, a concert ticket. I don't know something, it might be ok.
But to simply sell a little piece of shit like that on its own is laughable. Oh wait I better not download this - I really want to have an idividual memory chip of each of my favourite bands. They look really good all lined up together on my bookshelf. I also like reading the serial number and other interesting info printed on the chip while I'm listening to the music.

I could only see a reunion working in conjuction with the release of Chi Dem if it was released as an Axl Rose solo album and not under the name of GNR.
#2355 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N Roses on Universal Music Group Release List » 920 weeks ago
But I find it hard to believe that Axl worked on this album for 9+ years to just release it and not tour to promote it
He has toured it already a number of times

Rihanna is hot.
Maybe I will see if I can nail her while she's here in Perth
Richard who?

I agree I will not be embracing this format either - at least not legally.
They said album sales on CD dropped almost 19% last year. I would dare say those people not buying CD's are still listening to music they are just downloading it instead of buying CD's.
If they think by offering this SD card it will fill the void of of falling CD sales and capture some of these people that are downloading they are in for a rude shock. People switched to downloading because it's fee (ignoring itunes type things).
I know personally if I am going to pay for something I want a damn CD and a booklet and some decent packaging etc etc. If I am not getting that then I will be looking to pick up just the songs as cheaply as possible - i.e. for free! I don't care for their crappy SD cards they can stick em.
#2358 Re: Guns N' Roses » update on MSL's site » 920 weeks ago
^ Yeah I think so too. The fact that the blog had info that people had shared with MSL about Azoff's dealing with Best Buy vs Walmart and his strategy there etc, suggests that they were worried he was eventually going to be given a cat in a bag by someone (whether that be more material or a marketing plan etc) and he would be only too happy to open that bag.
That seems to suggest we might actually be close to this damn thing seeing the light of day. I hope so.

It's also why Azoff was trying to get cd.com and mygnr in his pocket to go with HTGTH, and from what MSL tells they succeeded. They want to control the amount and type of information out there (I'm not saying they will succeed though), they also wanted to shut MSL up and cease his activities any way they could. They thought they had achieved it by getting him banned from the fourms, including any talk of him by other forum members.
But it backfired and he started that blog instead. I thought his blog was hilarious and the longer it was there the more noteriety that came from it and apparently the more people came out of the woodwork to blab to MSL about various pieces of information and dealings they had with either Universal, Azoff, the GNR camp etc. He then continued to post this new info on his blog and things continued to snowball.
I am sure they explored legal means to try and directly stop him but when that wasn't possible (probably because that would have resulted in the outting of a mole living in Axls own house) I'm sure they looked at other ways to get the thorn out of their side, suching as complaining to google.

I don't understand why he would be paid off. He didn't leak anything or post a link to anything illegal on his site. If the GN'R camp had this kind of power to pay someone off to shut them up, we wouldn't see as many bad reviews of the new material that we have.
Well HTGTH were deleting the bad review from IGN about Shacklers. I watched it get posted then deleted over there.
