Awesome! I love his solo stuff. Can't wait for the full album!

#232 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Izzy Stradlin "Upside" » 540 weeks ago

I think 'Baby Rann' had a perfect timing when it came out. Izzy had been in the headlines after playing a couple of shows with Axl and the video certainly helped . 'Upside' was just dropped silently onto itunes, wasn't it? While 'Baby Rann' was pretty much discussed everywhere, I only remember a discussion of 'Upside' on Been A Fix. And I remember the main question being "why isn't there a full album this time".

I like both songs a lot, huge improvements over his last 2-3 records.

I went with Scraped. When CD come out only 'Scraped', 'Sorry' and 'This I Love' were new to me. 'Sorry' and 'This I Love' I quickly started to like. 'Scraped' always remained a disappointemtn to me.

Blood in the Water's leaked in its entirety. I listened to it this morning, in fact. There's Better Gone (a deeply odd Brain-remix of Better), a DJ Ashba Better remix that sounds exactly like you'd expect, a Bumblefoot acoustic version of Better that was recorded during the Barefoot sessions, and Going Down.

It's enormously frustrating to know that there are demos like the re-recorded OMG in (limited) circulation and that we can't hear them.

Where did you find the full Blood In The Water? I'd be curious to hear that..

God that clip sounds terrible.

Yeah Finck was polarizing thats for sure. His disinterest in fans was awful. Julita(evo member) ran the best finck site for years even kept it going during dead periods. Spent years compiling info, pics, etc. She reached out to him a few times & he ignored her. At that point I didnt give a shit about him. For someone at Finck's level to ignore the ONE person dedicating a chunk of their life to him was inexcusable. Even she got sick of it and gave up. Way to go Finck!

I guess that always also depends a bit on his mood. When I was waiting for the band after a show in 2006 and I got my pictures with Axl & Dizzy, he didn't want to do picture. I don't blame him though. If he is not comfortable doing that stuff, he does not have to.

But speaking of Robin fan sites: http://www.fincktheworld.com/experience The owner of this blog seems to have established a very good relationship with him...

slashsfro- do you have that patience clip?

The fun starts at around 4:40 (solo) and around 6:00 for Axl's reaction.  He just stands there and looks at DJ with a WTF is he doing there reaction.

that clip cracks me up every time 16

Has 'Blood In The Water' aka 'Prostitute Remix' leaked in its entirety? I only heard that 20 second snippet. I haven't heard anything of Atlas Shrugged, but a few seconds of Silkworms somewhere on Soundcloud. Then rumor has it that there is the re-recorded Oh My God, as well as a bunch of other remixes from CD.

Flat Earth Society has airline pilots as members, so I doubt that.

The rest of those links look like genuine interests so I think Axl actually entertains the idea.

I actually wasted some time and read a little bit into that hompage now. The whole thing is so ridiculous that it almost hurts. For the sake of humanity I truly hope that it is a parody.

As far as pilots being members, either they are ironically so, or they have some kind of mental health issues. If they actually mean it, they surely are psychologically or maybe even cognitively unable to fly a plane.

So more or less the tracklist of the re-recorded version of AFD, with the rest of the hits along with some minor deep cuts on Disc 2.

If they were scared disc one was too boring for hardcore fans, they could also offer a special deluxe edition with an extend cut of 'My World' tongue
