The dude's 77. He's probably missing a few marbles already. No offense to some of you other geriatrics here.

Maybe Chinese Democracy will come out and change the world.

Ferrell should take on some more semi-serious roles, much like Adam Sandler has done in recent years (except for that ridiculous thing he did this year). Ferrell was actually pretty good in Stranger Than Fiction.
At the same time, if they do a second Anchorman, I'll probably have to watch. Especially if Steve Carrell is in it.

i really dont understand whats wrong with being a professional musician
Me neither. If you're in demand and you have the time, do whatever you want. None of us would turn down a job that will supplement our income if we have the time and means to do it. Sure, we may turn something down if it's morally wrong or if we aren't qualified, but if they treat us with respect and pay us well we're going to do whatever they want us to do. Same goes for musicians...
#245 Re: The Sunset Strip » Jagged Little Pill Acoustic: Yay or Nay? » 895 weeks ago
I liked the album. Not as good as the original, but the version of Ironic gave me chills. I like Alanis and my view is that this shows her roots and what she originally wanted to do with the album. It's kind of like when you listen to You're Crazy on AFD and then hear it on Lies. You get the feeling that she wanted some of these songs to be more folk sounding and acoustic while the label popped it to pieces for it to sell.
She didn't really have a lot of commercial success after Jagged Little Pill (except that song Thank You that was #1 forever), but her work has been critically acclaimed.
A little unrelated, but has anyone heard her take on the Black Eyed Peas' My Humps? It's exceptional.

You guys talking about Aerosmith should give Honkin' On Bobo a listen. I know it's a bunch of covers, but from the first to last track it kicks a whole lot of ass. Joe Perry was hot as balls on that album.
And Joni Mitchell is awesome. Woodstock (CSNY covered it), This Flight Tonight (Nazareth covered it), and Big Yellow Taxi (everyone covered it) are classics.

Sundin is this year's Selanne only he never had a chance to win the cup. It's a shame if he retires, though, because the past few years have been among his most productive. The fool only wants to play in Toronto. Fletcher doesn't want him and he doesn't want to go anywhere else (I don't understand why... Toronto's a lousy city).

Totally. This guy doesn't know dick. He knows the track in the game and maybe a bit about the VMAs (doubt it). I work at an oil company but I don't know when the next price hike is...
